Chris Judd vs Peter Matera vs Ben Cousins - Who was the greatest ever Eagle?

Greatest Eagles player.

Matera.

Did it all bar win a Brownlow. Played at one club. Cousins destroyed the club and Judd bailed.

Greatest ever Eagle is Worsfold. Player.....coach.....now Director. Also helped the AFL and the game with the Essendon saga. No other Eagle has done as much as a player and after playing.

Judd wasn’t there long enough and Cousins got himself exiled to Siberia Richmond when he should have been winning more flags and brownlows

Can't really compare, as they were different era and I was too young to really appreciate the skill of Matera at the time. They all brought different skills and strengths: Judd with his strength/burst of speed/ability to get it out, Matera with his speed and kicking, and Cousins with his running power, stamina and disposal.

Most visually impressive was probably Matera, but again this is mostly based on the finals, big games and highlights. I actually feel Cousins maybe had the biggest impact when playing at his peak, with Judd and Kerr not far behind. Watch the 2006 comeback vs Geelong to see peak Cousins and Kerr when Judd was out.
