Sin City Milestone Curse Strikes Again
Monday 17th November

Allegations of a milestone curse at Sin City have surfaced as another week of acknowledging milestones has led to yet another defeat for the Sin City Swamprats.

This time, celebrating #damickyonefiddy, the Swamprats slipped to a 17-point loss against the Old Boys after fatiguing in the last quarter.

This loss joins a growing list of milestone fails this season at Sin City

Round 11 - debut of Slingshot Footy
It was the debut of Slingshot Footy that grabbed the attention here against the Demons, but a debut that turned into a nightmare as by quarter time, the Swamprats were down by 45 against the Dragons. Despite a furious rally, at one stage closing the margin to 5 during the fourth quarter, we would slip to a demoralising 11-point loss.

Round 13 - Power Raid (400) and Firestarter (250)
Two amazing stalwarts of the Swamprats celebrated huge milestones with Power Raid playing game 400 while Firestarter celebrated his 250th. Unfortunately, another nightmare awaited as by half-time, the Swamprats were down by 44 points. There was no consolation to be found in the second half as we were outscored 6.5 to 5.3 to slump to a 52-point loss.

Round 14 - #MP_400
Another game 400 celebration, this time for MP_ and another game that turned into a nightmare. By quarter time, we were down by 27 points and despite fighting back to trail by 8 at half-time, we would get no closer as we slowly faded out to lose by 26 points against the Warriors.

Round 16 - #damickyonefiddy
This week saw the celebration of game 150 for damicky and throwing the normal form book out, we led by 30 points during the first quarter, 28 points during the second quarter and 25 points during the 3rd quarter. Despite leading by 7 points at 3/4 time, we kicked the first 2 goals of the last quarter and at the 4 minute mark, we led by 20 points but yet again, a collapse for the ages took place as the Old Boys kicked 7.4 to 1.3 from that point to engineer a 37 point turnaround and a 17 point win.

Due to this milestone curse, the Sin City Swamprats have slipped from 4th after Round 11 to 8th after Round 16 and now face an Elimination Final against Roys FFC.

As yet there is no confirmation of a milestone for this week but should one arise, it would be safe to put your entire SFA Salary on a Roys FFC win.
