Unless I'm reading this wrong or they've made a mistake, according to this official 2025 AFL Draft Booklet (pages 10-13), clubs can have 3 cat b rookies. With Parker and reserving a spot for Comben, we have one spot left. So I'm kinda shocked we didn't list Saxena as a Cat B and save a spot for a potential SSP.

Its something we debated a little while ago. It was clearly a mistake being 3. Its been said other places its 2 spots.
Next year it'll be 3 (with 1 being NGA players only)

McGuane not getting drafted shows the step up from junior footy. He dominated his age in local footy but the writing was on the wall when he couldn't get midfield time with metro.

He also looked a long way off in the VFL which hurt him. Compare him to Prindable who found plenty of the ball in the VFL.

I hope he hangs in, gets super fit and plays VFL. He might be an option in the MSD if there is a spot. If not he will need a massive year in the VFL to get drafted next year.

Needs more physical development so hopefully time in the gym, playing more against bigger bodies in the vfl will help

Hard to tell. Twomey said we pre-listed Saxena as a Cat A, and we didn't have a pick available to us in the Rookie Draft. Yet the club itself is saying he's a Cat B.
