Watched him play against Pakistan in an u17 match. Some of the Pakistani players looked like grown men, replete with beards and/or stubble vs the mostly Anglo Aussie team still sporting bum fluff. OK, a reflection of the Aussies physical immaturity as much as the Pakistani players' maturity.

Not only have I not seen this word here before, i haven’t seen it ever, expanding my vocabulary one word at a time, thanks Ferris.

How did the junior Australia player career pan out.

From Haggas on the Draft Board

Carlton (NGA)Kairan Lovett-Morgan
Carlton (NGA)Deon Luttrell
Carlton (NGA)Kai Bunyard
Carlton (NGA)Ahmad Hammoud
Carlton (NGA)Xander Rosales
Carlton (NGA)Owen Wise
Carlton (NGA)Phoenix Georgeson
Carlton (NGA)Gabriele Parente
Carlton (NGA)Jamie Saad
Carlton (NGA)Leo Moore
Carlton (NGA)William Spiliopoulos
Carlton (NGA)Tjarai Edwards-Worn
Carlton (NGA)Daimen Merei
Just researching a few of those names... Owen Wise seems to get a lot of hype for his basketball, I'm guessing it's the same player.

There are different ways of hiding
Just get to prodimiately
He does, which sucks because an AFL ready player will dominate those competitions.

Can we offer him a VFL contract and he can play there? Too young?
Get him to use his non preferred leg predominately.
Gets him more skilled while looking unskilled and a questionable decision maker.
It’s not tanking if he’s trying his best on his left😁

After reading your reply, I had to check I hadn't just made it up :)

Was touted as a future Australian captain but despite a very successful domestic record, only played a few games for the Aussie men's side.

Cricket equivalent of too good for VFL, not good enough for AFL.

Walker looks ready to play Round 1 next year.
Would have been interesting to see where Walker went if he was draftable this year. He would have got more midfield time in the Champs where the first few games he was stuck in the forward line. Against Allies he was Best for the winning team.

We would have got him a lot cheaper in the draft and could just have gone into deficit

We would still have had to cough-up the points equivalent of pick 1 or 2.

When you could draft 17 year olds in past drafts, they were the premium most years. Clubs understood the difference an extra year in the system makes. I'm not convinced much changes next year beyond the loss of the discount. I'm not sure that qualifies as 'a lot' cheaper.

Having said all that, I'm not sure we know how to fully milk the system. We are too distracted by who we can get for the short to medium term, which eats up points, and trying to keep our 'core' together.

Would have been better if it was this year. Could have used 9, 11 and an F1 into a tonne of points and kept the other F1.
We'll get Walker, and I'm predicting we'll have at least an early second rounder left over to play with. The AFL's rules are an obstacle but if we can't make the most of it despite them, then it will be our own fault.

Walker won't go #1 next year.

Once Sydney finish bottom we'll pick someone else with that pick.
It’s not ridiculous to think Charlie pushes himself trying to prove his worth in pre season or games.
Not sure how the ankle is most likely fair bit of scar tissue then you have a knee that’s suspect.
If he does go down injured they have lost forward depth 40 plus goals Hayward.
They could slide most likely Charlie regains form with good delivery has one of his best seasons.
But not guaranteed.
Papery usually gets them out of a whole but he is starting to show wear and tear

I'd say we'll be trying to use our TWO x 2027 First rounders to ensure we have maximum exposure in 2026.
It depends on where we and Sydney finish next year, and what we have on the horizon in the under sixteens. I think it's only Cody next year, a reprieve in 2027, and then it might be on again from 2028.
