Does anyone have any info on Harry Jones, when he first did the ankle it was going to be a month or two, now its November and he is still not training, did they cut the ankle off and they are waiting for it to grow back??
I was extremely surprised when they estimated such a short recovery for that type of injury. It’s a good thing that they are being conservative with the season out of the way.

Every time I hear oppo supporters talk about the 2020 draft after mentioning how horrible it was for us they always go "but Zach Reid though..."
He is clearly one of the better players from that draft. Problem has been developing a 200cm beanpole without getting him injured. It is why I am always suspect at drafting a guy at 200cm that is under 90kg. There are exceptions but they generally need a decent amount of time.

Small sample size but he's looked incredible when fit. Genuine AA level player if he can stay on the park.
You campaigners trying to put the mozz on this poor kid??

Dan Curtin has put a massive amount of kgs on this preseason. Genuine KPP size now.
He always had a big frame

His brother is huge the one just drafted i believe was pushing 100kgs already

Think theyre going to play him as a big mid he moves so well. Everything suggest hes going to be an absolute freak and maybe eagles were right in that he was close to harley, as many suggested in west (could be wrong aswell, as they maybe had the option to trade future for him?)

So let me get this right, already

Langford injured
Ridley Hamstring
Robey Back Stress (fractures?)
Nic Martin ACL repair

Arki Butler better be good
2026 looking good

Our best player wants out - merret
Our 2nd best player out for the year - martin
Our top draftee - restricted robey
Our best fwd injured again- langford
Our most talented defender - injured again - ridley
Our most exciting young prospect - restricted program caddy

Is there somewhere we can train for a bit or have a non oval fitness focus - bike/swimming/pilates just for a few weeks -

Not sure how scott survives

But on a positive we actually need to suck a bit again next year but stay the course so some injuries is probably another good excuse for a low finish.

Get games into youngsters, be competitive and get a top 1-5 pick.
Get some picks for merret
Focus on clearing up off field - ie actually being a good club off field. We still seem like a shitshow.

No short term 2026 decision with players injuries, development, s and c programs or selection. Clean up more of the list as plenty of opportunities for blokes to earn a contract

Sorry to intrude, but it is possible that Inness is following the same method as when he commenced with us. Pushing them (the players) hard to build durability and resilience. Our perma injured stayed that way to start with (picking up injuries/having setbacks in the preseason), but once they got back onto the park, there was some improvement through 2024 and we had a really good year this year with not many soft tissue injuries at all.

He knows his stuff… but will be rough going for a while, especially with the media gleefully reporting on every ailment.

Am disappointed we have lost him (Inness) (shakes fist! 😆).

All the best. They’ll come good 👍

Are we talking around the times you didn't even have enough fit players to field a side and needed WAFL top ups?

No. He was appointed in September 2023. The injury trainwreck was of 2021 through to the end of 2023.

Been a steady improvement over the last two seasons (at least in that area).

Fmd. I had a disagreement with my better half in the bush walking the dogs coz by bipolar was going ****ing stupid. So I decided it would be a good idea to walk off and do a 13 km walk home with 2 semi herniated discs. Even that doesn't feel as bad as this shit. This club is cursed and I'm blaming Zach merrett just because I feel like it

Club will be putting out a mini series showing the first 3 days for the new recruits so keep your eyes peeled for that one.
So we get to watch the injuries in real-time. Nice.

Is Elijah Hollands the best replacement for Nic Martin for next year?
Hibbins-Hargreaves, Krasnadamakis and Billy Crofts are other players I quite like.
