Rovers are such a destination club that they’re almost going to have to turn players away. This is the most powerful team and organisation the league has ever had, let’s not forget, they’re going for three in a row under a rigid salary cap and points system. Albury achieved what they did in the Wild West, no player points and no cap. Now look at them, can’t even buy fifth spot.

James Pope must be wondering what’s happened. He joined NA, a vibrant well supported and well coached club who had genuine premiership aspirations and it appears to have fallen in a heap.

North Albury have lost a lot of talent. A lot of it is juniors moving for higher opportunities which the club should be proud of. Others have moved back to home clubs. It’s bad luck that it all happens at once. Just seems bad timing when they had come so far.
