Hello All. Im just curious ? What Membership packages people go with? Iv been a AFL Member for the pass 11 years but aligned to Geelong. But im seriously thinking of giving it up as im probably still 15 years from being gold. So just wondering what do other people do?

To get things rolling, I have the following membership:

  • Home & Away Adult (all Vic games)
  • Reserved seat at KP
  • GA at our MCG home game and away Vic games
  • Premiership membership add-on
  • AFLW access member

Home games adult

Reserved seat at KP

Premiership membership add-on

As an addon to this topic - Keen to hear from other interstate fans which memberships they have selected?
Its expensive to get down to Melbourne 3x a year and we are not guaranteed to get 2 games up here a year. What do you select? Do you think the interstate membership is worth the money?

I'm AFL gold with club support.
Was lucky enough to only have to wait 8 years. It's ridiculous now, my kids are silver with premiership membership - they probably have a 30 year wait to get to gold.

If you don't go to the games, do you reckon sell your seat?

Tell me about it. Iv been a AFL member and im currently been on the list for 11 years, and im silver and im like 8200 and iv only moved up 200 odd in 12 months. So im currently thinking of giving it up as im paying approx $550- $600 a year and I get to approx 5 games a year. As I live in rural Victoria, about 3.5 hours from Geelong

How many games do you go to a year?
If I was in your shoes I would get a 6 game membership plus a premiership members for < $400. Then just pay for seat upgrades etc with the money you have saved.
AFL gold is $790 pa plus the $10 a seat cost at the G, which ends up being a small fortune. I'm honestly tempted to give it up myself as the value is no longer there.

If there's a KP game I can't go to then I do put it to for re-sale - most of the time it's been sold, I can only think of once it didn't sell

I put my seat up for sale for our St Kilda game this past season as I won a seating package - that sold and I get a $23 credit off next years membership

Yeah i think its not worth it. I might just by a 6 home/away game membership and buy a September upgrade

I've just had a quick geez at the membership packagaes on the Geelong website. Why are these my only options? Screenshot 2025-11-29 094755.png

Where's the basic home game option?

Edit : I realise my attempts at screen shotting may have made it hard to read so here are the options again...

Try doing your filters again, home 11 is definitely an option.

IF it still doesn't work give the club a call, they are pretty good at sorting this out

If anyone has a spare gather round code (emailed today) and not going across to Adelaide, let me know - looking to take the old man! (adelaide cat here) :)

I buy 2 Social Club memberships (still working- will reassess if ever retire)- guarantees a GF ticket, but it's becoaming more difficult to get to Geelong games. Used to visit our mum in Geelong before and after games, but since she passed away that incentive is definitely missing.
My son and his wife often use these memberships, so it's still valuable.

Not sure what filters I could possible uncheck. They are all unchecked. I actually did ring the club and the young man was just as mystified as I when he too could not see the adult home game option. But I'm not doubting it's there for you. It's just the technology gremlins that seem to follow me around. Not to worry. He told me how much they were and I'll be going in later today to purchase.

Think mine is the 6 game but I get an extra 2 games with easy pay?

Average 3/4 live games a year

I live in Melbourne and only go to one KP game a year, so the 3-game GFC family membership suits us. It also gives the family access to the one MCG home game each year.

I also have a Full MCC membership.

As we soon near that time of year most expect to see member packs in the mail, please note 2025 was the last time you'll see that automatically. In 2026, they've re-jigged it all. I assume this is a club decision following years of feedback, but haven't looked into what other clubs are doing.

For those unaware, they sent all renewed members an email back in week 2 of December with the subject "Redeem your exclusive Member items with Cats Credit!"

The email gave the overall gist plus a link to the members' new store, but they also included an all useful FAQ link here:
Via it the following most useful bit of info for those used to the same thing happening each year:
'Members will no longer receive a welcome pack automatically in the mail as in previous seasons. Instead, you’ll receive a welcome email from our Mber+ Store after purchasing your 2026 membership. This email will include details on how to use your Cats Credit to redeem your exclusive member item. Once you place your order through the Mber+ Store, your 2026 Member Bumper Sticker will be included with your delivery.'

This is the member store link: (your login is the same as your Cats app / membership, i.e. Ticketmaster account)

Worth noting like recent years, any credit to choosing member options expires, in this case, 31st August 2026. What is complete h0rsesh1te and new, and I'll likely send an email to the club as feedback, is that this credit can no longer be used across the Cats Shop....so much for listening to members. :( This special store is akin to corporate merchandise portals many of us are used to at work, and your members credit can only be spent there.

As always, visit the FAQ link and have a read before asking any obvious questions here that the club has already provided answers to.

If you're wondering how many credits you get, the regular membership packages & benefits page shows this when you drill into the benefits of each package.
e.g. Regular home members get $50 worth as an example. So as me and my two underage kids are Home members with KP seats, my account has $150 available for spending. Who knows if they'll have the smarts to then send 3 member stickers alongside it. Such things are important to little kids.

The former membership benefit was a $20 Cats Shop credit, the new one is $50 at the members store which is a decent increase in value

The members store is also the way a lot of Clubs are going - Melbourne Victory have done this for a couple of years, the Renegades opted into it for the first time this year, and I've definitely made more use of it through both of them then I did with any membership vouchers I had

The option to get personalised items is a nice touch and there's definitely more choice in regards to "2026 Member" stock than we ever saw at the Cats Shop where it was essentially limited to a cap, scarf or hoodie

My opinion is that this change is something they've got right

The kids were given $30 last year, and I assume the jump is inline with $20 doesn't buy much these days, and everything is pricey. Thankful they've aligned the credit with the prices they're valuing the items as.

Some good changes have come from this, but the deliberate decision to force people to use only this new exclusive store with this credit is IMO a mis-step. If you look at the fine print the % member discount at the Cats Shop these days excludes anything that isn't a regular, full-priced item, and likewise if lucky to win a flag also doesn't apply to premiership merch. Just saying, these little things make a big impact to members doing it tough.

To the mod who merged my new thread with an existing one that I chose not to use as it was very specific about packages, glad you kept my thread name, but suggest you remove the purple Opinion tag from it, as this thread is no longer that. Cheers.

The updated thread name wasn't done to keep whatever you're thread title was, it was done to stop duplicate membership threads being opened

"Opinion" isn't necessarily the worse thread tag either, as often the discussion within this type of thread is more opinion based as to folks preferences
