How is it a distraction? You outright accused me of supporting murder based on my support for bombing boats carrying drugs that kill innumerable people each year in the US. The side effect (killing some of the people who willingly boarded said boats knowing they were a target) is unfortunate but I still support the boats being targeted.

My response initially wasn't to accuse you of supporting murder but to flesh out your views by asking a relatively simple and straightforward question. You refused to answer it (God knows why - maybe you're embarrassed by your beliefs). So while you can accuse me of supporting murder I can't even ask you a simple question to see if you accusation is a trifle hypocritical?

I've seen enough to know you don't view people who support abortion as supporting murder whilst you view my statements regarding the bombing of the drug boats in the Carribbean as supporting murder.

So this is what your philosophical position amounts to in a nutshell.

Supporting an apparatus affording women the right to choose which has the unfortunate side effect of killing many healthy babies that weren't afforded such a choice (you) = definitely not in any way supporting murder. Interesting paradox.

It's an unborn baby, a foetus etc. Even societies that have significant numbers of people who say they are a person, and have rules/laws made up to fit their personal and/or religious beliefs, don't actually treat them as a person.

For that reason you don't start counting the age of a child until when they are born, not from the moment of conception
