With Arteta though he's not losing the players and he's not costing the club, he's built a powerful young squad. The only question would be is there someone better who could do more? I'm not sure there's that many managers

Because if he finishes 2nd and trophyless 4 seasons running that's a clear indication that he doesn't have what it takes to win trophies?
Or it shows that there's incredibly fine margins and that "what it takes" can often be a bit of luck in a one off game? E.g your winner against wolves this morning.

Does Arteta survive if they don’t win one of the CL and EPL?
I think he does, Arsenal arent a ruthless club.

Though they have now spent a billion under him so the pressure would be immense next season.

But in saying that I think they'll win the league this season still.

Thats the other bit - is there a better option out there or does a new manager take the club backwards?

Personally I'd rather have a stable management team that shapes a consistent style and philosophy over the long term that is challenging consistently rather than resetting each year or two.

The Arsenal/Wolves games had 2 reds missed as well, VAR is just dogshit.

Are you talking about the Hwang Hee-chan tackle on Myles Lewis-Skelly? He was a bit out of control but didn't catch him high. VAR has been told to only intervene for clear and obvious errors.

I thought the ref was consistent in letting some physical stuff go. Timber didn't get a card for clattering a Wolves player from behind. Eze wasn't penalised for kicking Gomes in the head.

Words cant describe what a legend this bloke is

Trying to dig it up the stat - if I recall he's scored goals against keepers born in the 60s,70s,80s,90s and 2000s!

I actually reckon he is the sort of bloke that keeps playing in lower leagues rather than retire.

That is unless England needs Milner for the ashes as he was reportedly a gun cricketer when young

Was shocked Palace City wasn’t the main game on Goal Rush. Usually it’s the annoying/lopsided City or Arsenal game, so when they had the option to have Palace away, they didn’t pick it?

And then Sunderland game has been a real letdown…!

Sunderland v Newcastle is the first Tyneside derby in donkeys years apparently so it's a big deal up North, no one else cares.

Biggest Derby in the country arguably but all right 😂

What about the West London derby between Chelsea and Fulham? That's a cracker that one.

Speaking of derbies, what happened to Derby County? They were in the top flight when I lived there in the noughties.
