Hmm, the "anti-zionists" are very quiet in this thread, I wonder why?

This is what anyone who supported Israel was saying would happen, and shock horror, look what has happened!
Why would people be in here making a noise? It seems pretty bloody obvious:

Israel is committing genocide. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

That's no reason for anyone to go shooting up a family event.

Are you satisfied? Got your little dig out of your system?

It's always a pleasure to see leftie 'useful idiots' make an attempt to defend Islam. Why do you fail to show up when I'm critiquing Christianity over CSA scandals, creationism in classrooms, or pro-life nonsense?
Pleasure? You are sick… get help.

No was a bolt type action, but not traditional one. Never seen that sort before

Looks like this type of bolt action - the straight pull.

We see what you are doing here Latika Bourke.

You could of course be a proper journalist and provide context and reason rather than cut and pasting politically motivated idiocy that fuels the binary blame game that leads to tragic events such as this.

But the clicks matter more - and the political blame game suits your agenda. Shame on you.

Was she posting a running commentary? Or is that the total of her contribution?

Look like it … the shotguns were semi auto

The events that were perpetrated at Bondi Beach during the Jewish Hannukah Festival are nothing short of an atrocity perpetrated by radicalised pro Palestinian terrorists. As I post the death toll has risen to 16 which is a tragic number.

Regardless as to how we may feel about the Israeli actions in Gaza there is no justification for an attack on unarmed Australians. Like many I hold the view that the Israeli response to October 22 has been excessive but that does not justify this atrocity.

The danger in this is that it may launch reprisals like the Christchurch massacre which was equally indefensible. I expect that this will launch a wave of Islamophobia and that pro Palestinian street marches and Mosques will need heightened security.

A bravery award should be given to the man in the white tee shirt who tackled and disarmed one of the terrorist gunmen. Questions should be asked and answers given as to how these people got the weapons and most importantly how by who were they radicalised?

They can be no justification for this barbaric act.

15 now confirmed killed, including 1 child

I think it is two children as I read both a 10 and 12 year old girl died yesterday.

I was expecting to perhaps feel a bit better in the morning light, but right now I feel angrier than I did yesterday.

I'm not justifying any form of violence, but if a country has a foreign power in it, there's going to be resistance and people have long memories - I think that plays a more relevant factor.

Maybe you could enlighten me here: but Indonesia has a huge population, considered a Muslim country, but was colonised by the Dutch, IIRC, for a brief period. But I've never heard of Indonesian citizens fighting for ISIS, Al Qaeda or other groups, though if I'm not mistaken, they have a decent economy. I think poverty also plays a big part in people joining groups for Jihad*, which might make the average Indonesian think 'hang on, I'm not up for that' *which I think the meaning has been misinterpretated by the likes of AQ or ISIS in the past and I would say media in the West. The US having military bases in Saudi Arabia hasn't helped them lose their tag as The Great Satan.

I'm not a big fan of colonialism, estremism or a lot of isms, but a lot of these Lone Wolf attacks are carried out by scum who are easily brainwashed into carrying out attacks like today. You made a good point about Thailand and respecting Thai culture and it brings me to my own belief that the burkha bans in France were ridiculous, considering the French establishment at least go on about laying the groundwork for democracy, but my stance would have changed when I think French women would under no circumstances be made to cover up if they lived in certain countries. I believe you should always do your due diligence when going to a different country regarding customs, laws, faux pas, etc, but there's always grey areas when it comes to laws like the burkha ban, which I can't think of what is the right thing to do in a situation like that. Seems repressive, but when in Rome.
I thought the Bali bomber was Indonesian?

I thought the Bali bomber was Indonesian?
Christ, forgot about that. Numerous Indonesians involved. And:

"On 12 October 2005, a story in Australian broadcaster SBS's documentary series Dateline, called "Inside Indonesia's War on Terrorism", argued that the Indonesian military or police may have been involved in executing the attack"

What happened to your previous post? The one before this? Very quickly deleted by someone to yet again protect your ****ed up thoughts.
Religion is cancer. I said it before and it's always used a shield for the most appalling of deeds. People love it because they don't need to be responsible for what they've done either, they're doing this for their god.

You didnt answer the question.

Yep conspicuous by their absence. Dont see too many of those posters with Palestine flags in their profile. They will be back to spew their hate down the track.
It's not that black and white. As someone said earlier, you can be anti-zionist and call this atrocity for what it is.
