I have to say I did enjoy girls highlights. They all look talented.

So if I am not mistaken, the list 32 is full now. 15 players 18-19, 2 players 20.

I just hope Suns are competitive otherwise it will be tough on those young girls. I am worried. We were the youngest team in 2025 and only got younger. Min injuries please otherwise we could see some horrible losses. Improve conditioning.

The Suns actually have 1 more list spot. They had 10 delistings and 1 signing before the draft. 8 picks in the draft and passed on their last pick.

Word has it Reece Shaw has been working with a unicorn doing one on one training sessions. In fact he’s doing it as we speak . Her name is Ella Gordon and is a local girl who played elite basketball. Just turned 21 on Friday. She’s 195cm tall and will be the tallest ever AFLW in the history of the game.
As she’s been outside the system the Suns can sign her direct into the system.

I know she was interviewed by Port, Crows, GWS, Swans, Pies and Saints.

Pretty sure after living 5 years away from home with Basketball she wants to stay on the GC and will sign with the Suns.

Cool insight.

I must admit, I've only watched a few quarters here and there of the women's team over the years.
Drafting a bunch of Gold Coast youngsters makes it a bit more intriguing for me.

Havana and Usher are potentially going to become all time greats of the sport.

I agree that we are in for some more tough times, HOWEVER, when they click it will be so dramatic that they will go from bottom 4 to top 4 and be an absolute powerhouse.

Would be interesting to see if that worked out. While height is obviously an advantage, Suns lack players with skills. With basketball background she will have ball skills, but not AFL and reading the play. Longer term prospect perhaps if she lasts that long.

Pretty much anyone will be better than the previous guy who has gone across to bugger up the men’s program. The lack of conditioning and individual player development can surely only go in one direction (up that is).
