Are there any provisions for replacing a third umpire midway through the test? It's one thing for the onfield umpires to be incompetent, another thing entirely for the umpire controlling DRS.

Thing is, he's really good in the middle. Just get dudes who understand the tech to be the 3rd umpire. And can communicate "nah, I didnt mean that, can you go back to the other bit"? What the **** campaigner, talk english.

Yesterday's was more snicko problem. Today's was incompetent third

It sounds like there is better technology out there, so I'm not sure why it isn't used here, but it was within the one frame they always talk about

Why is 3rd umpire checking snicko when it was just initially for checking the catch? Snicko should only be used in this situation if Smith was given out/not out after the catch is checked to be fair, and then Smith/Aussies want to challenge on field decision of whether it hit the glove, if that makes any sense.
