Nasty. It is good to read that you’re back home and on the road to recovery. :stern look

But sadly the same can’t be said about my good self. I recently went into Hospital for Penile Enlargement surgery and the bloody surgeon botched the operation. Please pray for me. :stern look

Haven't been here for a while but all the very best GK. No fun when the old ticker goes on the blink.

We have had our own set of challenges in Horace land. Mrs. H fell over outside Bakers Delight in Boronia a fortnight ago today, smashed her upper right arm and shoulder joint in multiple places. She was taken by ambulance to Maroondah Hospital for a couple of nights, thereafter a few days at Ringwood Private Hospital then to Knox for surgery last Monday and now in the Victorian Rehabilitation Centre in Glen Waverley. Looks like a couple of weeks there at least.

So far just over $9,000 worth of work in the surgery, goodness knows how much more before she is okay again.

Not quite as much though as my prostate cancer surgery November last year, which soaked up a mere $28,000! Good grief. Many would say in my case at least, not money well spent.

Thank goodness for Private Health Insurance. So far out of pocket $1,000 only for Mrs. H.

Update: Day 8 and doing well. Doc said all blood results are good and happy with progress. Had ECG yesterday and haven't heard from cardiologist so assume that was good. Not in pain so feeling very lucky. Funny thing is I feel like I should feel worse given it was a major hearter. Still have to take it easy but should be back to full strength umpire abusing and booing by round one. Thanks again for everyones good wishes.

Did you get a stent?

It's amazing how quickly they work and get you feeling better.

Just for those who may need to understand the "gravity" of Zondor's situation, here is a link to what Zondor might have experienced. Look at the pictures at your own peril though. You might even be witnessing Zondor at his - select option that suits - best or worst.

Glad your wife is on the mend. Sounds like a high price to pay for a couple of Bakers Delight coffee scrolls. Please pass on my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Private health is interesting. I question mine every time I have to pay it. Had a hearter - straight into an ambulance, straight to emergency at a public hospital, emergency surgery, four days in a private room in the coronary ward, well looked after (I think) and then home. Out of pocket so far $0.

Thanks GK. Yes a very high price to pay. Ms H was nearby at the time and said that one of the staff there was really lovely in how she looked after Mrs H, calling an ambulance and helping to make her as comfortable as possible. I would give her a name a shout out here if I could remember it but I'm at an age now where people's names elude me about 2 minutes after I first hear them.😲

Same here - yet I can remember the words of every pop song I loved in the sixties.

Just glad to hear you two (and GK) are now doing okay.

This made me laugh, I'm exactly the same at 43 haha

Can't remember much 2005-2017, 1988-2004 better than ever.

I forgot I spoke English as a 1st language, they had to get some Spanish-speaking nurses to assist me when I awoke from my 47 day slumber. Sister was happy as surgeons told her I'd more than likely not.
