Why people use WhatsApp as a primary texting service instead of messages (when they both have the same type of phone).

A few were not happy older people making rules for them.
Interesting some didnt have some didnt have phones to text their mates.
They use apps.

I dont know much else .

My youngest is15 turning 16 in January.
He mostly watches YouTube (mostly carpentry and mechanical videos as he wants to be tradie). Never had tiktok or anything else

I find in interesting that a lot of family and friends I have in Australia dont use or have Whatsapp, where here in Europe it seems everyone has it and uses it. I put it down to its usefulness as far as different connections internationally.
If you're in Australia and primarily messaging Australians then Whatsapp has no advantage over messages, but if you're messaging Brittish, Saffies or Americans then Whatsapp is free.

It brings people together. I think it’s better than iMessage or messages for example in that it’s inclusive of multi brand phones. Everyone’s in the same sphere. Not sure but someone told me sending large videos is best over WhatsApp.

I do however find it odd that friends cal me on what’s app. Friends who are in the same city.

Oh sorry you said same phone. Hmm. Thinking. Guess using the app on a computer gives access to texts. Maybe.

I myself find WhatsApp good to use in that respect but also use iMessage on different devices
