Yeah, nah not buying it.

Either way you are out of touch and out of time.

Time is a constant, father time is undefeated and facts beat feelings

I feel the media and libs/nats being so extreme is just one last attempt for relevancy along with their dying audience, a dying media, a dying political party.
Hardly extreme. The way our politics is, there are 2 positions, conservative and progressive. I am not impressed by either but father time is catching up so I don't count. This country is blessed but only because the inhabitants worked to make it so good. It's the responsibility of everyone to work to improve it, to make it even better. If you only want to take, piss off.

The fact you think there are only 2 positions is very basic and very cringe.

I agree the narion is blessed my good people doing what they can, making sure we keep extremists flogs and degenerate capitalists under account.

And its my duty to fix the issues that this nation's faces.

"Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried".

The people you consider the "best" is where the many, many problems with your worldview start though. Its just people who think like you do and agree with you politically, thats it. Thats the totality of your philosophy when you boil it down: your guy/values/beliefs = bad, my guy/beliefs/values = good and I'd like them imposed by force on the general populace please.

You're a crank, mate. Overly shrill, emotional, hysterical. Frothing, seething hatred for an entire spectrum of politics for which you blame all problems, both real and perceived.

You're incapable of recognising this about yourself of course (like most cranks), but rest assured, you're a massive one.
Be kind to him, he's having a bad day.

Don't confuse a variation within a position with a position. The Greens and ALP are, currently, competing for the extremes of the progressive position.

I know some Jewish people, and some Liberal voters who were disgusted by how the Liberals and Murdoch media conducted themselves. Todays polling numbers show the Liberals barely created a dent. Still in line for the usual smashing at the next election. Perhaps if they took a leaf out of past incidents, and acted like leaders, they might have done better. Shows most Aussies see through the BS these days, thankfully.

Murdoch media refuse to allow all voices to be heard, as it will damage their narrative.

Now that other Jewish Groups are starting to speak up to Leys lie that she speaks for all, they have hit a wall. And FRAUDenbergs claim of Albo doing nothing, when 5 pieces of legislation to combat antisemitism were passed the last couple of years, where Frydenberg himself tried to weaken hate speech laws multiple times, citing that they were "too harsh". He literally did or try to do what he accuses Albo of, F**king hypocrite. He should stick to stealing from charities.

Point is, the last few days hasn't had the effect the Liberals have wanted. And the fact the majority of Australians want unity on all sides, accept more needs to be done to combat antisemitism, without restricting our freedoms, and are also against Israels actions in Gaza. Good to see Swan, Turnbull, Wong come out and say it how it should be said.

When was the previous poll taken? depending when, there may be other factors at play too.

That is not a good thing. You're more in touch with who exactly, the majority who just voted Albanese in? The guy responsible for that massacre last weekend? Good for you man...
Yes.

Because basic knowledge and basic common sense is not blaming Anthony Albanese for 2 nutters being nutters.

I bet you dont balme any lib or nat for robodebt death or because of their dereliction of duty with the constitutionally required duty of the federal government being responsible for quarantine you dont balme any lib or nat with covid deaths ( ps buddy doing duties as set out by the Australian Constitution is a aussie value I hold rather ****kng strongly, if you hate this point you hate Australian law, you Hate Australian values)

Log off, take a long walk, gain clue.

You can just say you are an older Australian who hates the fact that you are out of time and scared that the majority is now millenials.

The future is now old man.
Not all oldies are neanderthals. :)

Not sure about this. The fat that Hamas were elected, footage of Palestinians celebrated post October 7 and various other instances do not necessarily align with this point. Not that that is necessarily unexpected, the communities are at war - but I don't think it's accurate to say that Palestinians exclusively do not want Hamas there.

we know the israelis want the palestinians starved out

Sure man, I'm for calling out all bigotry equally. You won't win a "yeah, but nah" fight with me when the topic is who is more bigoted out of two backwards religions and their extremist followers.

The general tenor of comments to this post from the President of the Zionist Federation of Australia Jeremy Leibler are pretty revealing.

This and other responses across the non Murdoch media today suggests that the politicised response to the Bondi massacre, in particular last nights political rally atmosphere at what was meant to be a memorial event, is starting to get pushback from the broader community.

Albanese has been criticised for over a year about his failure to respond to anti-semitism. His handwaving every time an incident occurred, talking about imaginary Nazi's instead of talking about the real issue - fundamentalist Islam. There was the "Gaz the Jews" incident, the ISIS (or whatever other black and white Islamist flag it was) carried across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, photos of Islamist dictators carried at protests, not to mention the celebratory parades in the days after October 7. All of this rising violence and extremism has been implicitly supported by Albanese due to his failure to stand up and speak against it for years now.

His handwaving? He implemented the special envoy, gave 32 million to synagogues for upgrades to security, brought in hate speech laws, special operation avalite, worked on and improved information sharing between state and federal agencies specifically around anti-semitic attacks, or threats of. He has actually done more than any other PM on the threat of anti semitic attacks. Not that any of that matters, as there is not a single law being proposed that would have stopped the shooting apart from gun laws and ASIO/the AFP actually recognising the obvious threat from a known IS afflilated person, which they easily have the powers and funding to do so already.

That video has been debunked many times even in this thread.

Albo condemed the October 9 protests and language used, which were not "victory parades" as you put it. They were in direct response to Israel announcing it was cutting off all power, water and food to the Gaza strip.

"Israel has promised a “complete siege” of Gaza, cutting off water, food and power supplies after Hamas militants abducted more than 100 people during a surprise multi-front attack. Israeli media said on Monday the death toll from the Hamas attacks had climbed to 900."

Im curious what you want from the Australian government in regards to the Sydney Harbour bridge protest? By this time a UN report has declared Gaza a genocide and 300,000 people went to demand the government end our support to the government commiting said genocide. Two people showed up with a Shahada and one with a portrait of the Ayatolloh, what response does this merit from Albanese that would have stopped Bondi? I'm pretty sure he even picked out those incidents and condemed them, even though according to members of the Jewish council of peace who attended, they saw no direct anti-semitic material.

One more thing, one of those "Imaginary Australian Nazis" went to New Zealand and murdered over 50 people in a place of worship, they just happened to be Muslim. Nazism is a directly anti-semitic ideology, is it somehow wrong to worry about it with that in our very recent past?
