Not really a high workload at all 3 tests into a series. Starc has bowled only 90 odd overs. 30 a test. Boland significantly less. Thats **** all. Both should be raring to go Boxing Day

Add to that we don't have a test for 8 months after Sydney, so he can have two months off golfing

100%. Only 10 potential days (6-8 in all likelihood) of Ashes cricket available for another 2 and half years. To think any of them will want a rest now is absurd. Could be Starc and Bolands last crack at England in all reality. I expect a fiery finish

He's a weak man. He's trying to angle himself to be saved in the post series culling, when he was 50% of the problem along with Baz.

Jimmy Anderson on BBC Sport was saying how Starcy hasn't even been bowling out of his mind - so much as the poms have thrown away their wickets.

I know people get annoyed with the "England lost, Australia didn't win" mentality of the poms, but I think Jimmy's got a fair point and is obviously well credentialed to comment on it. Its worth noting he immediately went on to praise how ridiculously and how great he executed his plan for Root.

England has missed Anderson in many ways fitness, bowling nous, leadership just to name a few.

What are our predictions on MCG test heres mine love predictions:

Toss England wins and elects to bat first
Stumps England will be 7 for 225 day 1
In a good day good balance of bat and bowl.
Honors shared day 1
Rain delays: looking to be a couple of short delays one on the morning and again in the afternoon say 30 mins taken out of day 1 play
Days 2-5 will be perfect cricket summer weather more so day 2 perfect day for both bat and bowl
Attendances
Day 1 92k a couple of showers delays are possible 50 percent chance a bit iffy
Day 2 81k no delay
Day 3 78k no delay
Day 4 54K no delay
Day 5 38k no delay

Got this test tho going to 4 days later in session 3 on day 4 say around 5pm

if it goes day 5 then 38k

these are my tips

not tipping a winner tho tipping everything else

one thing tho there will be a minutes silence for bondi before play on day 1 boxing day
