Murphy makes sense. I like Roc, and think he's currently the better bowler, but Murphy is younger and also has prior test experience.

Is there actually Vic-bias in cricket media? I've never really noticed it.

Except Howie.

This is the one sport where it is common knowledge that when you get the baggy NSW baby blue, they slip you a baggy green to save time.

A Victorian batsman couldn't get a call up working a phone sex hotline.

But you are still incorrect - #VICBIAS will always prevail out west.

Nah, I want an umpire that makes me believe my unfit body could also becoming a sporting legend

Take up Darts look at this fine specimen Andy Fordham 430 pounds of perfection. Bonus points you could probably have a few beers and darts while playing to fine tune the body

I don't care how good he is, I just can't trust goggles.

TBF that could just be don't trust hokball degenerates rather than being goggle related.

Courtney Walsh did that for years, must be some shoulder injuries you can still bowl with and not throw.

I did it because I got more power and could actually bowl a ball from the boundary further than throwing it in.

I think because I spent most of my time in slips, gully and point by the time I got to 30 I had a noodle arm already hehe.

I specialised in short leg so didn't have to use the arm a lot (was required to sledge of course)

He'd be lucky if England paid his air fare home.
I mean the flight between Sydney and Auckland is closer. And then the drive to Hamilton as well.

There's a great Lions Led By Donkeys episode about a siege that happens up in those areas (covers some Alaska & far east Russia/Ukraine areas) and one of the hosts did some time in one of the out of the way places in Alaska - said the mosquitoes may as well have been horses they were so big.
The only comparable thing I’ve seen in Australia is flies in the WA goldfields at times in early summer. But at least they aren’t trying to eat you and aeroguard etc will actually discourage them a bit.

Nothing works on those mozzies. You’ve gotta cover every inch of flesh. They’ll find a gap. The ones we had weren’t big, just your standard size but you could fair dinkum swallow 10 of them with every breath. Did a few days salmon fishing around Nome and there was no hiding from them. Got some fish though.

Art- Rocc won games this season for WA from when it was petering to a draw.

Murphy hasnt ripped innings apart this season
Best is 3/102.

As for Richo- i agree its purely as he bowls 140+ and has shown to be next in line of the those that bowl 140+
That’s not Murphys best this season, he had 3/17 vs nsw. Has 16 at 23.7 this season in the shield. Also took 2/7 vs the Lions.

They took them off when it mattered Art.

On the field.

What consenting adults do in their own time I will be of no judge but you aren't turning up to the hallowed turf of the MCG wearing spectacles when the Ashes are on the line.

Now that it's a dead rubber and it's an exhibition match just roll out any old freak at this point. It would be humiliating for the Poms.

Off field, probably not, but on field, they would be struggling to hear themselves think, let alone get a word in with Marnus in the slips

In the post-sledging era where nothing mean, intimidating or insulting is acceptable to the Australian cricketing public, Marnus’ relentless ADHD-fuelled ‘mundanity trolling’ is elite-tier mind games from Australia

The Aussies can easily tune out the nonsensical, monotonous diatribe because it’s not directed at them and is done on their behalf - however, the opposition know that it’s designed to put them off so they have to exert some degree of mental energy/attention towards not letting it bother them

No player wants to be the first to acknowledge it’s annoying because that publicly acknowledges the tactic is working and encourages even more of it

I think it’s both hilarious and smart…can’t wait to see what inanities he brings to the contest in the centre of G!
