Cummins out for the series

I think this is an elite flex from Australia:

“Yeah we could play him but Captain Cummins is such a valuable asset that we don’t waste him on dead rubbers and uncompetitive teams…he’s a collector’s edition classic and this mob aren’t worth putting any miles on the clock”

Tag teamed him in to land the knock out punch, now hes at the after party sinking piss

I reckon Carey is nearly next in line now after Cummins and Smith, given Trav doesn't really want it.

If Neser misses for Richardson he's going to be so stiff, but Jhye replacing Cummins feels like a better fit. Neser is a little too similar to Boland and age isn't really on his side (even though I don't agree with 'blooding youth' too much in the test side - you should generally always pick your best side and let that work out itself, which doesn't include farewell series for the sake of it).
Current test players who have captained Australia (other than Cummins and Smith):

Head - 1 match
Carey - 3 matches

Inglis - 4 matches

You know it makes sense.

I love how Piers Morgan is complaining about Australian Convicts giving it to him over the cricket, everywhere he goes in England.
Giving it to him in Harrods of all places!

Clearly giving it to him while he was buying 10k caviar is all too much!

Nah dont buy that bullshit...its a snub for Rocco whatever way you look at it

"Shield form over 4-5 rounds can also be dependant on match location and conditions" lol Rocco has been the leading spinner in the country for the past 3 seasons in Aussies conditions winning games due to his bowling

dont care what anyone says Rocco is better than Murphy in Aussie conditions and I will die on that hill
I agree with all this, but then this happened:
Oh well good luck to Murphy lets hope his darts don't go for too much

Given the English like doing everything but playing cricket perhaps we could give them a list of things to do while in Melbourne
Luna Park, GOR, Yarra Valley, Grampians, Gippy.

They need pubs, lap dances, the availability of some of Bailey Sniff's good stuff and well away from any training facilities. And boyz in Bay 13, could ya keep the noise down early on if England are fielding.

If you're looking for a laugh this Christmas Eve, this take down of Rob Key and the entire English cricket setup (complete with a contrast and compare with Spinal Tap no less) will probably scratch that itch:

I was just listening to the sky sports podcast with him on.

He was dead set delusional

Up in the nose bleeds tmrw but not complaining – as there's no more electrifying atmosphere in cricket than a sold out MCG. (Though Eden Gardens comes a close second)

Def hoping to see us bat. But would equally enjoy seeing our bowlers rip through them.

Also hope Bethell plays. 4 tests, 3 half centuries – surely it's time to give him a go. Has a young Dean Jones feel about him (or dare i say Konstas), a precocious talent who loves the big stage, and want to see how he goes in front of 100,000

Konstas :eekv1:

Not test standard at this time

Selectors failed in their duty of care by picking some who tried to play reverse sweep ramp shots in the first overs of a test match

why not open with Khawaja?

Dude averages ~20-30 as an opener in the last two years. In that role, Uzzie is done.

Still, we saw at Adelaide that there may be more to squeeze from him at number 5-7, if he's coming in with the pace of the game blunted. Of course, why Uzzie over say, McSweeney is a fair question unless you believe Khawaja is a fair bit better technically/mentally (and in which case, it's England, future be damned).

Also McSweeney is injured iirc
