My favourite day of the year.

7:30- wake up, shower and a tugg
8:30 - train to Richmond
9.00- first beer of the morning
9:30 - more beers
10:30 - first ball
12:00 - lunch and more beers
2pm - 5 gets a bit hazy
6pm - dirty royal
9:00pm - bed

Day 2.. do it all again .

I'd save the tug for after the Royal personally.
Although I guess if you're repeating this every day, technically the morning is adequate.

Bethell averages 28 in FC cricket with no tons. Trescothick made his debut with a similar average, and he turned out ok, but at least he had a few centuries under his belt in county cricket before he played for England. Be interesting to see how Bethell goes about it.
Is the cupboard really that bare that this guy is the next best batsman in England? I don't get it. Absolute scrub Australian shield players go to Country cricket and average over 50. Surely they have better options with good records.

Augurs well for us over there next time if they have no talent coming through. I was half concerned with Ussie, maybe Smith, Starc, Lyon, Hoff at the very least probably not being on the next tour of England we might be in trouble

Ussie, Hoff and Gaz are almost certain not to be there in 18 months time imo.

Soon people are just going to have to wake up to the fact that test cricket is in the toilet. English cricket might be circling the drain faster than us, but they've got their hands on our ankles.

Every top side is rubbish compared to their glory days, including our Dad's Army, which will look even worse once our top players finally age out.

There are pretty obvious reasons for this general decline.

I heard Michael Atherton speak about this at some length and he said the IPL was the slow release death pill of test cricket which you can understand when you look at the money it generates and the players that get absolved into it. I hope he’s wrong because **** T20

How’d ya be being a young up and coming batsmen and NSW roll out Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins in the Sheild in October

I am sure they would be sh*tting themselves. Just like how Victorian players sh*t themselves when Hazelwood, Starc and Lyon played for NSW (Cummins was missing for Abbott) in November by only smashing them by 300 runs.

The NSW cartel are very good bowlers but they are not superheroes, despite what all the media members relentlessly jerking them off will tell you.
