I think Perkins should be played as that high half forward at all times from now.

A future forward line is building nicely.

The two ??? Need to be a quick pressure player and a selfish goal sneak. Kako showed plenty moving up the ground as well as pinch hitting in the middle so would prefer him not to be there as a sole pressure forward.

Archie gets unfairly maligned in a way only reserved for the truly crap players our club has had.

He will end up a 100 - 150 game player which is a good result imho. Sure, a serviceable role player compared to a star is classic Essington but people need to stop pretending he is s*&!. He's not

He was serviceable as a high half forward.

Then we pushed him into the midfield and he lost all confidence.

Perkins has the ability to be a top echelon forward flanker in the league.

I like how he stands up in tackles and feeds the handballs to runners from ground balls around the arc.

Also ability to wheel around and get it in accurately and long to forwards.

He rarely misses at goal either.

The problem for me is his actual desire to consistently get the best out of himself. I’ve seen him mouth #### on the telecast when it started raining before a game.

Half forwards simply go missing sometimes in afl games and he doesn’t seem to contribute enough or work hard enough to get back into games.

Hes still a starting forward for me in our side, but if he has another average year might find it hard to stay on a list.

If the OP talk is/was true and he can/has gotten over it then yes, i think he can cement a spot in the 23. I have him starting VFL at this stage, I want to see him dominate that level and get his confidence up. Same with Cox and Jones as KPPs. If they can't hold down a key position in the VFL consistently they're no good to us and should be in the next cull

Blokes got OP its why he faded out hard last year and looked like a shell of himself

That's sad and everythjng, but we needed to move on from him well before this. He wasn't very good when he was complete with shell.
