Boland yes.. the other 3, surely it’s sarcasm? Why not? It worked for Chris Rogers and Adam Voges.
Edit: Boland and Neser too.
The Test XI should be made up of the best cricketers in the country regardless of age.

Ponting and Clarke had runs on the board and there was reasonable arguments that they were in our best XIs in the country. Some of our greatest players were blooded young… Ponting (20), Smith (21), Clarke (23). We’re going to fall off a cliff when our current crop of players retire in the next 2-3 seasons. Should be a blend between playing the best and developing 100 test players for the future
Mark Waugh has grown on me big time, he has a great cricket mind which I wouldn't have picked when he played.

Its probably taken from one of his school report cards'Short of a fraction'
Interesting analysis from Warner
I can't see Marnus getting dropped in the Ashes, he will be in the team just because of his fielding prowse. If Marnus nips one to 2nd slip again for single figures, then I have both Renshaw and Kellaway in, one of them batting 3.
Is a half century enough on this pitch? Or you want him to perform a miracle?Labuschagne needs an innings here
Was he discussing his own cognitive ability?'Short of a fraction'
Interesting analysis from Warner
Indeed. I guess I’m worried we make a good go of our inning today, only for batting to get easier and England chase down 300 on an easier wicket.Interesting that you believe we will get to tomorrow
Yeah looks like they will go that wayI agree 100% but this is purely for Sydney. Hopefully Khawaja calls his own time. Not the biggest fan of him but does deserve to go out with a farewell test at his original home ground.
What a leaderWatching Stokes have a meltdown every time something doesn't go his way is excellent viewing
There are current young players with runs on the board too. There are current players where there is nothing to lose too. Should not only pick on potential but there should be a blend. Boland is an outlier, if he didn’t take 6/7 he probably would have been out next testPonting and Clarke had runs on the board and there was reasonable arguments that they were in our best XIs in the country.
With Smith, there was nothing to lose. We'd tried our other spin options and none of them were up to it. The team was also a mess, as compared to our current team which has been the best Test team in the world for nearly half a decade now.
If we picked players for the future rather than the now, we would have seen someone like Abbott play in the 2021 Boxing Day Test rather than Boland.
Expects a wicket everytime the is hit in the air.Watching Stokes have a meltdown every time something doesn't go his way is excellent viewing
Yeh 50.Is a half century enough on this pitch? Or you want him to perform a miracle?
I actually don’t mind Warner in comms.
Since Rogers first debuted in 2007, 2 openers in Australia have averaged more than him – Warner and Khawaja.Boland yes.. the other 3, surely it’s sarcasm?
I assume the Egyptian team are walkers.Yeah looks like they will go that way
But come the tests against the bangles next year I think will we see a few changes
Not bad from a Kiwi.Stokes is such a ****ing prick. Takes whinging pom to a new level. So much of what he does is performative.
