I thought you'd never ask, here's one I prepared earlier... plan is to break even at 1/2 time and then run all over Fabian Horne-Francis and his ****stick fraudulent mates, with a bench to die for. Hold is what we have to do. Hold, then a fresh Xerri and Wardlaw to unleash hell on a barely fit Horne Fabian-Francis in the 2nd half. BGZ with 4, the Rising Star Nom and 6 weeks for his callous elbow to Horne-Fabian's Nose.

2026 R1

B: Archer-Dawson-Logue
HB: Harvey-BT-Hardeman
C: Goater-Sheezel-Dovaston
HF: PC-Comben-Trembath
F: Zurhaar-Larkey-George
R: Goad-LDU-McKercher
I/C: Parker - Xerri - Duursma - FOS - Wardlaw

Em: Banch - Powell - Pink - Darling - Daniel - JK - Whitlock - Stephens - McDonald - Urquhart - Simpkins

With these type of sides my focus is normally on who isn't selected, as that's the key to your depth. Using the above game against Poort, one could argue that side contained 7 ish players that should have counted themselves lucky to be on an AFL list. Let alone getting a game.

Acknowledging you have included 3 players yet to debut and a handful that haven't played much.
Your interchange/emergency list is rather strong, when compared to that game against Poort, which is a great sign.

IMO I doubt Harvey plays much, Comben will be CHB and Darling & Daniel will be playing. Would be great to get BGZ on the park, he'll have his work cut out early. Simpkin will also play.

B Archer Logue Pink
HB Hardeman Comben Goater
C Powell LDU Simpkin
HF Zurhaar Trembath FOS
F Curtis Larkey Spargo
R Xerri Sheezel, McKercher
Inter BOABanch Daniel Darling Wardlaw George

So I've no room for Dawson, Whitlock, Parker, Stephens, Goad, Thredgold, McDonald, Duursma Dovastan Konstanty Scott Harvey & Hansen. That lot combined for 130 games in 2025, and we don't want that again, was a big part of the reason we won only 5 games.

My hope is by 2027 Whitlock has taken CHF. I chose Powell over Parker. Wardlaw, LDU, Sheezel, McKercher, Simpkin, Powell & FOS can take charge of the midfield. It's time.
The thought of Powell and Simpkin on wings excites me somewhat, well when compared to a Scott/Stephens combo.
Liking our forward line, named FOS there as it's time he took on higher duties.

Just to refresh posters minds, the side that lost to Poort had, Spicer, Mahony, Drury, C Taylor, Perez, Bergman and Scott in it. So yeah I suppose I would have been bullish heading into season 2023, and the joke was on me yet again, and what was I thinking our list was rubbish at the time.

This time it's different and the interchange /emergency list paints that picture imo.

( thanks to my work for gifting me this time to post, happy NY)

Thanks to your work indeed, hope you're also on time x2, for the cherry on top of your 7/11 Cake.

I just hope we're planning on bringing in some of these players that I have erroneously named. Big talented campaigners so we don't look like the little leaguers no more. I'm sick of that!

As for my team, perhaps by Rd 15. Or Rd 1 2027.

I just want see it once.

Automatic promotion due for your public service position?

Ha I've never worked this hard in my life. I look after 13 technicians, 1345 units spread from Werribee, to Sunbury, through Camberwell and then Box Hill, across 720 odd sites/contracts, which are scrutinized by consultants.

And my boss will ask me, "where's such and such at", my standard response is , " are you mental, how the **** would I know".
Take over 100 calls per day and cherry on top if it's a hospital with poor equipment it's under my control. My account manager is about to pull the pin, he's had enough.
I work for a global company, never again fyi.

I did choose to work this time of year, and will take a break in Feb, hit the creek and go panning.

CS- I'm sure you will see at least 90% of that site take the field at some stage.

Would warn you against going smaller and more local. At least you know your pay will be there on the day it ought to be there, in full.

These days you take that peace of mind and gallop.

Always best to work through this period and save your leave to break winter up a tad, I reckon. Full marks from me young Tiro.
