poor bloke needs a change of luck

Does anyone know if ESPN are still going to show Dynamite & Collison in 2026? I can't see it in the programming schedule after this Thursday (Jan 1st)

speaking of their Australia stuff. looks like the Brisbane (non-televised) show is not selling that great based on the ticket map

Just thinking how sneaky good the ppv attendances been this year. Brand probably isn't that well known here but they need to promote better.

The end of Jericho's run has been really interesting. One of the things he has done better than almost anyone in the business is constantly reinventing himself. He lasted 20 years in WWE by never allowing himself to become stale, and he followed that up in the first few years of AEW by regularly tweaking his character and role.

However, he completely misread the room late on. Things had started to turn, and rather than take some time away to come back fresh he tried to lean into the negativity with the learning tree character. But it just galvanised the "please retire" fans more and meant he never got the farewell run in AEW he deserved.

He will get a good reaction and is guaranteed a huge push in WWE as a way of "owning the sickos", but it is not a great time for a mid-50s guy to return when the top of the card is already a bunch of 40 somethings, and his retirement tour will be one of many that just highlights WWE as the seniors tour.

His AEW run should have been considered a farewell run IMO. The stuff with Kenny at WrestleKingdom was great both in and out of ring. AEW didn't need the best of him when he eventually signed though.

He's justified most of his run just by virtue of name recognition, but the last few years especially showed he is well well past it in ring.

Even if he takes a break, don't think the sentiment changes that much. Most of it was attributed to the 'vortex' and looking how Inner Circle at the tail end, JAS and Learning Tree ended (really did Big Bill no favours who deserved far better) pretty justified.

Stings retirement worked because you knew what you were getting with him, and he also knew his place and was able to be hidden in tag matches, and not really taking high profile spots either. Can't see Jericho's ego having a similar sort of farewell.

AEW doesn't need him at all anymore, he's going to WWE to milk the last bit of nostalgia cash as thats all that WWE really cares about now, to be honest I think it's the best arrangement for all parties.

Glad guys like him moving on from AEW is a benefit as it allows more time for guys like Fletcher to rise up the card (although at the expense of guys like Mox and god bless him Mark Briscoe isn't the answer).

Should consider himself lucky he was able to eek out a few more runs IMO.

Jericho at this point in time is just a nostalgia hit and nothing more no matter what company he is wrestling for.

In regards to your "40's something comment you do realise that Mox, Eddie Kingston, Claudio, Samoa Joe, Christian, Copeland for example are all 40 plus, Okada almost 40.

Your "seniors" tour comments don't line up with what your saying given the age profile of a lot of AEW top end talent to.

Completely fair to say there are two contrasting styles that are focused on being in ring action for AEW and WWE more entertainment.

Hangman, Darby, will, mjf, Fletcher, swerve all 35 or younger and in main event of ppv this year. For WWE just Logan Paul?!

Eddie, Claudio and Christian are not main eventers. Copeland has not been on TV for months.

Who has been in the WWE tile picture this year? Cody, Drew, Roman, Jey, Punk, Cena, Seth Gunther, Brock, AJ and Randy. The youngest of that group is 38. Other than Mox and Joe the rest of the guys in the main event picture for AEW are younger than that.

maybe we should measure on "TV age/company tenure" as well as physical age?

What’s with Disney plus not showing Dynamite live anymore?

I’m not home often enough during the day to warrant spending too much to watch it

How do people watch it? Triller, Kayo?

in the US, WWE has an arrangement with ESPN to air their PLEs/PPVs, so presumably our tv rights arrangement ends with this weeks Dynamite.

usually watch via Triller OR the high seas.
