I'm not positive but from the bits of the article posted here it seemed like the police were dropping them off not picking them up, and one mentioned a police call out earlier in the week so seemed like they were returning them.

Yes those types of court orders are usually pretty quick, especially in the case of a welfare check where the police won't often have any evidence of wrongdoing or reason to keep the firearms. In those cases the cops usually don't even want to keep the guns for any real period of time, it's just about getting the guns away from the person overnight when they are more of a potential risk.

You should see where they store them - about as secure as a dog kennel…..from inside the building.

Not surprising, some states didn't even have exemptions for the cops from firearms transport legislation, meaning that technically each time a cop in those states got in their squad car with a loaded firearm they were breaking the law. Admittedly I haven't read the legislation in a fair while now though.

a) has a dick on their head,
b) has a dick FOR a head, or
c) is (or looks like) a head of a dick?

I always though of it as the first one, but the way you spelt it has me second guessing everything.

Lachie Neale has been a stupid idiot and the consequences of having less contact with his baby son and young daughter would be horrendous. Unfortunately people have affairs all the time including AFL players/coaches etc. Nick Riewoldt and his dalliance with a fox footy co host until his wife gave him the choice, Damien Hardwick had a relationship with a member of the club and then split with his wife to name just two recent ones. Difference is Neales wife chose to post about all of this on social medial which is totally her decision that makes a private issue very public.

People’s comments on here about the parentage of the other parties child, how she and Mrs Neale look etc are pretty off. Posters suggesting that Neale will be booed at AFL games. 5 articles in the Herald Sun about him today and Neale headlines the Channel 9 news.

Perhaps the next step is we need a Royal Commission into what happened with Neales marriage
