Kobe Bryant What GIF

You probably have to have been old enough to remember watching SBS back in the 80s/90s, it's pretty tame these days.

Back then I don't think anyone that didn't speak other languages watched SBS for anything other than nudity/sex scenes.

So are we actually likely to lose any play to rain today.. can never be 100 per cent certain with BOM these days. Thought an even session in the end.

There was stage he would get to 50-60 and look solid as a rock. The get out looking like a Chris Martin impersonator
My memory leans towards a good 40-60 before getting out, plenty of fluffed starts before his big front pad got in the way of a straight one, or middled to the cordon.

The potential is there. Pity we just don't have anyone in the cupboard.

I'd actually like to see us take a gamble on a bowling all rounder at some stage.

Fergus O'Neil has scores of 64, 33*, 25, 35*, 46 and 24 this current shield season, and is also the second highest wicket taker in 2025 shield matches.

Might end up having the James Faulker type career though, where he feels like a genuine star, but perhaps his lack of pace holds him back from really getting an extended run in the national test set up.

Early seasons of South Park aired then in the late 90s

trying to work out some logic to justify keeping Green and adding Webster to the XI. Only thing I can think of is they have no faith in our batting and are playing for a draw.

Neser at 9 and Starc at 10 is unnecessarily deep. It’s not like India last summer who had three genuine number 11s

Only reasoning is that they want to play Webster and don’t want to drop Green. Results in a side that does balance at all. They haven’t trusted Green to bow more than three or four over spells all series, don’t know how they see that and then choose him as a frontline seamer. I think generally they should pick a spinner (Melbourne definitely a pitch which is an exception). Not sure this pitch is one. But regardless should be picking your four best bowlers, masquerading batting allrounders as proper bowling options is asking for trouble

They have other programmes?

They do have some good history docos, if you like the Nazis and WW2 they're the channel to watch as well as the Tour de France

From memory they also had the rights to the 2005 Ashes, not sure how that came about as they haven't hosted any cricket since

He gets compared to Gower but even Gower had technical faults that he made up for by having a great eye and great style.
Can't remember what commentator made the Gower comparison but i don't see it. But i agree both have an exceptional eye and timing. Lot of cricketers back in the day (Border, the Chappells) played baseball in the offseason to develop those skills and you'd think that would still be invaluable for any young cricketer coming through the ranks
