Two days of slight heat and I can see already what parts of the lawn need attention this growing season.

Two days of slight heat and I can see already what parts of the lawn need attention this growing season.

Growing season? My lawns stop growing in summer and winter. I had my car parked on the lawn for a couple of days while doing some touch up work on the paint. The grass where the car was parked was twice the height of the rest of the yard after moving off but would have been helped along by giving the car a couple of rinses with the hose as well.

I got sunburnt doing it and have just about finished peeling. The plan was to do a bit at a time but like always I go like a bull at a gate and stayed out there for far too long with no hat or sunscreen. Summer.....

Sleep with the air con on and a fan. The fan drowns out outside noise too for me.

Works a treat. BTW the air con is on at my house for about 8 months of the year.

I was getting ready to post a reply when I dropped off to sleep. But the "good" news is things went as predicted in that I knew due to the day that I had..... I'd drop off pretty quickly (and I did).

But if I didn't have a full night of sleep, I'd be awake at 2-3 am and struggle to go back to sleep. I woke up around 2:20, it's now past 3:30 at time of posting.

I don't even feel hot at present, it's like a "decent" temperature... yet due to obviously sweating during sleep... I'm uncomfortable and haven't been able to settle enough to sleep again.

I think I'll be fine throughout the day but with it being a long time between drinks as far as the last time it was 40+ degrees..... who knows, I might keel over.a
