As someone succinctly put it, Trump is trying to control the West and wants to imitate what Putin does in Russia and Xi in China. The only difference is that in the USA he can’t control everything like those other two can. He can try but he won’t succeed.

This will eventually end badly for him and those around him.

What I want to know, if this is the case, is why they would get rid of the current president only to install the vice pres, who is an even greater hardline socialist, as the new president ..

And.. please.. no one tell Eagleboy.. he’ll be beside himself!

Its too risky an investment.. Oil companies invest for the longterm.. and they like stability.

They arent going to risk investing in a destabilised country.. and by the end of the US midterms trump might be getting lined up to be impeached by the new house and senate..
And then anything could happen.

You arent investing billions of dollars with those types of unknowns on the table..

Interesting article, including the Trump interview with NBC, where he said he was in charge of Venezuela.

He doesn’t like their President or their opposition leader, so the vice-president is the best short-term option.

Trump had no plan. Maduro called him out and Trump made up charges against him and did an illegal invasion. His only want is minerals and oil. For some reason its now taken a weird turn of justifying the invasion as the West should seek to control all major oil and minerals. Trump is proving that this shouldnt be the case. He is not acting for the west he is acting for his own ego. Based on his arguments of Venezuela, Australia should be worried. He has Greenland now, but its only a matter of time before he uses the chinese and russian ships argument on Australia, says we cant defend ourselves and seeks to take us over.

If he was in the US, the older non educated cohort, is starting to swing violently away from Trump. EB must have missed the memo (again).

He should talk to Bibi about manipulating votes after the last 2 years of Eurovision contests... warning, thread drift ahead.

Israel has been caught out (and actually admitted to) manipulating the votes for western countries they have been able to get to, to get the best results. They say through successful marketing... it's more likely just bot-voting.

SBS proved it themselves two years ago when they put up their own recorded online vote results for the Australian vote... which had Israel absolutely dead last. The official Eurovision televote was a maximum 12 votes to Israel. So this was supposed to be the same people watching at 4am in the morning bothering to do a fun vote on the SBS telecast? Bullshit.

Last year was pretty close to the same, but SBS didn't publicly say it in a summary: watching live, Israel was in the bottom two in the live feedback votes for all Australians in the coverage... but they somehow got maximum votes at the same time from the same people watching it?

I would love to know the number of votes recorded versus the actual ratings for SBS during the live telecast to see if it's the gigantic fraud I suspect it is, but I think we all know this will never be known.

The Government (who fund SBS) should already know this, which is one reason why I think we shouldn't compete at Eurovision.

We're not part of Europe. The competition is rigged. The last competition, we did not even get to the final because a non-European nation (you know who) rigged it... by altering our own country's televote. Plus those same televotes are then being used by that same said nation to rig the competition further, for a political purpose, which just happened to do with them committing a Genocide.
