Irrespective of how good Daicos N is, Collingwood are going to be so cooked in the near future. I am not sure if it will be this year or not, but the cliff is not far off.

Unfortunately this is exactly what will happen.
Anyone that thinks a club of Collingwoods size are going to wallow at the foot of the ladder for several years hasn’t been paying much attention to recent trends in player movement and free agency.

It’s not implausible that they will have a starting midfield of Daicos Rowell and Butters for round 1 2027, certainly round 1 2028.

That is totally implausible IMO. It doesn't matter how big you are, no single club can afford 3 of the top 6 or so midfielders n the land all at the peak of their careers, it ain't happening

Notwithstanding the big club lure, they're in for a world of pain. Almost Eagles proportions. Their drafting over the past 10 years is awful, outside getting Daicoses as gifts what have they got? McInnes looked good pre injury, Quaynor, is there anything else?
They're stuffed I reckon
