It's a pretty shit rule and I've been saying that for a few years now but under the current letter of the law this is about as non-controversial an adjudication of it as you could possibly get. Definitely not worth 5 overs of booing.

Seriously WA fans mix it up. Try using a "Bullshit" chant like the rest of us!
Oh we were in the members section, the mics just mustn't have picked it up

Perth fans = Philadelphia fans. Massive inferiority complex.

Imagine losing to the red Melbourne team - the ugly stepsister of the BBL.
Inferiority complex? They're the most successful team in league history dumbass

They also get more people to their home games than your AFL team do LOL

The rules is the rules, I’m stating why I hate the rule. Most hated that Starc catch wasn’t given out. I’d change the rule to say “did the players hand control the ball sufficiently” before falling and “did they stay within the field of play”. Soccer changed the handball rule to allow a player to put their hand down to the ground as they fall. Surely cricket can do the same.

But the rules is the rules. And I hate this one.
Just like every poster who complains that DRS umpires not-out calls on lbw rulings should be given out. The rule says it’s umpires call, but some hate it.
Just like every poster who complained when Stuart Broad didn’t walk when he nicked it to first slip, and the umpire didn’t give him out. The rule says that the umpire gave it not out, so that’s the rules. But we hated it.
Just like every Englishman on Carey’s stumping of Bairstow.
Just like every South African when they “dropped the World Cup” or when rain left them with 22 to win off 1 ball.
Just like every fan ever when the umpires go off for bad light based on the same light readings as previous days.
The rules.
The rule is to address any ambiguity, if thats at all possible. The rules have to try to give some guide to such lineball decisions. With the 'umpires call', they either have confidence in the technology or not. I guess they need the human element in it otherwise the umpire could be replaced with a coat rack. 'Here, hold ma hat ma coat'!!!

Imagine spending all your time in this thread that is about a game that finished yesterday....and you're arguing that you dont care about the big bash

🤔
It's so weird, I remember the same thing last year with people having a go at Scorchers fans for getting into the big bash.

Like screw us for enjoying things I guess?

Sorry we don't live in a grey shithole and aren't either miserable all the time or "too cool" to enjoy things?
