That tells you the pitch has finally turned into a day 5 spinning pitch. The fact that a player who scored big in the first innings misjudged a ball that badly shows just much the pitch is beginning to change.Fair ball that. But a big gap between bat and pad.
I thought the exact same thing! That one got shown the other day on the telecast as well.Shades of Vaughan to Tendulkar at Trent Bridge with that dismissal.

Oh, we could...............Surely we couldnt choke this away....
I wonder how the mcg preparation will go for the 150th anniversary test next year. Would imagine it would be unavailable for few weeks, especially being scheduled near the start of the new AFL season .
Vaughan dines out on that and rightly so. He wasn't the worst before his knees gave in.I thought the exact same thing! That one got shown the other day on the telecast as well.
Maybe he should donate those runs to Bradman..Khawaja has avoided replicating Sir Donald Bradman by actually scoring runs in his last Test innings.
I was more curious about the logistics on pitch preparation and the clash with AFL logistics. Are you aware of the ballot that’s currently underway for seats to that test?
Is anyone aware? Drawn in Feb, 13 months before test and if successful could be charged up to $350 for each ticket that’s successfully drawn in the ballot.
Perfectly encapsulates why it wasn't out before. A nick doesn't make a long murmur, its a spike.Noticed this on snicko from the thigh pad hit just before. Doesn't look that dissimilar to the reviewed one earlier...

At this point in the game they aren't going to bother replacing him. One or two bad overs and the games over.I am split on the way to handle jacks, personally I would like us to take the risk and hit him out of the attack, even though there is no need to risk it.
The greatest ever since Bradman shouldn't be leaving gaps. He always looked shocked when he goes out. Still would have loved to have seen how shocked he might have looked on a regular basis had he confronted those peerless West Indians back in the day. That was an incredible ball from Jacks. Can’t really blame Smith there despite the gap.
