It definitely changed at some point but it’s hard to tell. They’ve gone for a darker shade of gold and the tiger seems to have less detail. I’m not 100% sure when they did it but it’s around mid 2010s I think.

They definitely just dropped it into illustrator and used image trace. Job done, i guess

This is the official one the AFL and SANFL use. Makes use of the higher quality illustration. Still funny though that they vectorised the Copyright Symbol under the paw and it turned out like that.. clearly an even higher quality version is needed

That’s really interesting, the key differences being the tongue being white and no text at the bottom. The one I got is their Facebook page profile picture. They’ve been using this alternate logo on about 90% of the apparel and merch for pretty much all of this decade though:
