So you want us to go down the path of European and UK soccer? Where they announce and change their home, away and third kits every year?

Yeah, nah. No thanks
Home kits should remain untouched, but the away and third should be changed. Anyone who disagree's probably are the same people who think a 2pm AFL grand final is better than a twilight one; i.e., stuck in the past.

There was a bigfooty poster who said before the grand final that Brisbane and New Balance had reached a new deal; which would be revealed after the season is over. It's already January 6th, and there's been no news of that. Fair to say that was a lie, and the fact that New Balance has rehashed last years range, and changed this training jersey to maroon says this deal has to be pretty much over. You can tell when a deal is over by just how much effort is put into their merchandising range.

I only watch E sports now, anyone who watches physical sport is stuck in the past.

I too can speculate with no supporting evidence

Many clubs already alter their away and clash / third kits slightly every 2-3 years. Those that don't, stick with designs that are popular with their fans. Why fix or change something that isn't broke?

Re: the 2pm timeslot. Again, why fix something that isn't broke? There is no justifiable reason for change other than dollar signs in the eyes of Channel Seven, who would give us more of a barrage of ads than what they already do.

Nice little unprovoked jab, by the way, but it's not about being "stuck in the past", it's about common sense, two words you probably don't know the meaning of.

A- Daytime footy just looks better

B- what benefit will a night/twilight GF bring other than a couple hundred thousand extra half hearted viewers on TV?

Leave it as it is, it looks great and is a fun day

SO what’s the latest? Collingwood + Swans (Swans home will be the exact same)
Both supplied by Nike.
With any luck they might not have to wear last year's gear in March.

You’re not familiar with the North Melbourne Football Club are you?

I don't mind rotating guernseys if the designs are actually good, but many alt guernseys have been terrible. Also, A Night grand final is better than twilight, twilight has the worst lighting for a half.

You are absolutely correct. Come to think of it, I love being stuck in the past where there's enough atmosphere at the ground you don't need music playing after every goal to keep people interested in the game.

To be fair, Country Roads and Hey Baby have become unofficial themes for the Lions because of it (could hear the supporters singing them randomly during the grand final broadcast)
