Hahahaha. Suddenly her stupid burqa stunt has consequences.
She only wants upside.

Consequences for thee, but not for me.

Can the PM even reverse a Senate censure? Sounds a bit against the separation of powers.

Oh No. She's gonna a miss a platforming opportunity.

Perhaps she can jet off to party at Mar a Lago with Gina Rinehart like she did during the last session Parliamentary session.

They'll probably just play the victim in the press then try to fundraise off it.

In the fortnight just prior to the Bondi shootings, polling data released by the long running Sydney based Jewish publication The Jewish Independent showed that supporters of One Nation were the most likely of all political parties to hold anti-semitic sentiments.

This has strangely gone uncommented since the events of 14 December.

Most likely because it's an uncomfortable truth that conflicts with the short term political goal of those pushing for a broad Federal Royal Commission into anti-semitism including Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce.

Israel's current government has aggressively allied itself with outright antisemites internationally, organising around extreme far right principles.

Honestly a lot, but not all, media organisations find this completely unremarkable and not worth comment.

Don't think it will be an issue in Australia either. Maybe it's a feature and not a bug, given how the smears of the LNP will to a degree hurt Labor, if they roll over and capitulate politically and the public will equally turn on the LNP, because of their transparent and destructive behaviour.

Thus we get left with the rise of a far right alternative fringe, ala MAGA or Reform, which to this point had had no real cultural or political purchase.

Which does not seem to bother Israel or the vocal media or social voices on antisemitism at all.

the dutton effect mk 2

once she starts doing media away from her skynews afterdark safe place people will see her for the vacuous incoherent attention seeking moron she is .... nevertheless the polls are what they are and it is somewhat troubling people have forgotten this fact [unless younger voters oblivious to her past are being drawn in]

Strange days indeed.

Anyone who knows anything about statistics would know that tsing a poll of just 500 respondents and extrapolating it to nation wide 150 House of Reps seats as Auspol have done is comically flawed.

BUT, nevertheless it's clear that Pauline Hanson has been the biggest political beneficiary of the front page debate since the December Bondi terrorist attack.

It's a shameful irony that the country's most divisive and racist political leader should be the one who gains most from the national outrage over a terrorist attack designed to create division and hatred.

Frydenberg, Howard, Abbott, Morrison, Ley, the Australian Jewish Association and their legacy press cheer squad should be well pleased.

One Nation will lag behind (as usual) when election day rolls around. Bondi won't be a big issue for voters come 2027, I expected these kind of numbers shortly after an attack by Islamic extremists.

However, the reality is indeed that the conservative voters have left the Liberal Party and One Nation is the next best - and they sure as hell aren't voting Greens. All Pauline and her ilk need to do is keep their noses clean for the next two years surely (which is near impossible for One Nation, but it seems that some voters like the controversy anyway)

Recruiting Barnaby Joyce is a big coup for them, may see them win a couple of country seats.

Pauline can’t even hold her mob of ratbags together for one term of parliament.

yes, it's frequently a problem with minor parties. Palmer, Lambie, Pauline.

you could argue the greens have been taken over from an environmental group to more of a progressive social justice group.

and the Liberals have turned into Labor Lite.

Leadership is an issue too for one nation , as Pauline historically has had too much control.
They need more than Barnaby Joyce to come across though.

Nobody of substance has or will join ON. They aren't a serious party for people who do have political aspirations, they'll keep taking cookers and grifters who nobody in seats they need to win in able to form government will vote for.

It will die down, but the percentage of people considering voting One Neuron is a concern. Pauline is as dumb as dogshit and offers nothing but racism.

It also amazes me how so many people (mainly on Facebook which is RWNJ central) think that she cares about Australian interests. Has she ever supported a cause that benefits Australians? Everytime I see her she is sucking up to self-interested grubs like Gina.

She only has to pretend to care.

Which is more than Labor and LNP are doing.

I see we are in the middle of an election cycle. The place One Nation always do best.

The campaign will start and then they will be front and centre again and people will get a good look and move away again.

Let's hope so, I always thought the average Australian was dumb as dogshit when it came to politics but if One Nation start gaining significant traction (particularly outside of Queensland/in suburban areas) it will be worse than I ever imagined.

DemosAU polls are historically garbage, they consistently overestimate the right wing vote, but they have taken this to a whole new level. Check out the logic behind claiming the ALP vs ON TPP:

NOTE ON LABOR/ONP TWO PARTY PREFERRED ESTIMATE
As One Nation is tied for second with the Coalition nationally, it is necessary to consider a nation-wide ALP/ONP TPP estimate. Unlike the standard Labor v Coalition TPP, full nation-wide preference data is not available for this estimate.

The preference assumptions used for an ALP v ONP TPP are;
Coalition: ONP 82.9% ALP 17.1% (observed Hunter 2025 preference flow)
Greens: ALP 88.2% ONP 11.8% (ALP v LNP Nationwide Preference Flow, with ONP replacing LNP)
Others: 50%-50% (As the composition of Others is not known, a 50-50 preference split has been
adopted.)
Give the absence of full nation-wide preference data, a Labor/ONP TPP estimate should be treated
with caution.

With non existent national preference data available, they just plugged in janky data from Hunter as the basis. Zero credibility.
