When you have successful and highly regarded people like Buttifant and Russell come to club and they fail to achieve the same results as they had before you need to consider other reasons why
100% The club has been going out and getting the best coach and the best fitness person in the game for 25 years and they have failed over and over again. Shows just how bad the other aspects of the club have been for a very long time.

The club is extremely pleased with Elijah’s return and current performance, along with Hayward and Florent.

Player measurables have improved across the board in McInness’ second year. There remains some concern, however, that the new recruits have arrived at the club in stronger physical and aerobic condition than our existing players, which has been partly attributed to legacy issues from the previous high-performance program under Andrew Russell.
And then Motts does his knee and the rabid supporters are calling for McInnes to be hung drawn and quartered at noon.

I would put it more down to standards accepted across the entire club. Been an issue for years. Near enough has been good enough

This, as well as a very taxing game plan are a horrible combination

Thanks baldy

Edit: Cripps was pro-AR. May have just been the players but HP should be building the entire squad (of which quite a few had been at other clubs previously on their own experiences/builds).

Buttifant the same..

I have realised over several years that whenever Patrick Cripps is Pro-anyone, that person should be moved on immediately.

Why would Mcinnes be against players seeking additional rehabilitation in order to better their recovery/ performance

Might not be totally against it, but would probably prefer it be done in consultation rather than completely independently of the club. Hard for Mcinnes to monitor loads and performance if injury-prone players are doing their own programs on the side with no reporting or visibility at club level.

Just about every club sends players off to work with specialists that aren't on the club payroll, so doubt Mcinnes is demanding that everything be done in-house. It'd be about input and oversight.

Will White keeps on staking his claim for a list spot! Also a nice reminder of what Acres provides + super exciting to see Jagga progressing
Clearly a couple missed the event, but a very encouraging list.

Some times “the universe” works in mysterious ways. Will White would vie for the title of most athletic on our list a combination of pace and endurance. The kid is certainly not devoid of ability. Thought a couple of times he was lacking a bit of confidence, faith in his own ability. A bit like Frankie, there is scope for the penny to drop and elevate his output. The chances of him getting a gig certainly are improved.

Love that Jagga makes the “podium” after so much down time. Acres playing for his future, Carroll is likely to surprise a few on here, I think his ceiling is higher than many believe. The Newman replacement (apologies to Moo) and given a year or two, won’t be a downgrade. Lucas Campo has some work to do, but I back him in to do it. Prolific at junior level, just needs a “sharper edge” to elevate from role player to absolute gun. Will have competition from Chesser, Ollie, Acres and perhaps a couple of others (including the use if a wing to rotate inside mids) but has genuine potential.

Nice to see Acres fit. I know he has his critics but when fit he is a very good player. Covers the ground as well as any
