Went to the Rams V Cardinals game on the weekend at So Fi wearing my Seattle Mariners cap. Some peanut in the crowd yelled out to me “F**k Seattle”.
On that basis I’m barracking for any team that plays the Rams for this game.

FWIW, I doubt it will be the Chargers v Rams. Both clubs would have been eyeing the LA derby at So Fi for years rather than playing the game overseas.

Dallas or KC is my tip. Dallas Cowboys can get a flight direct from Melbourne to Dallas I believe.

They get their own flight anyway, but yes planes can fly Dallas -> Melbourne without refuelling.

I get the humour and sarcasm in your post but I honestly didn’t appreciate the sledge at the game. Can’t a bloke just walk to his seat without getting bagged about the choice of sporting team apparel he’s wearing, and more specifically apparel that actually had nothing to do with the Rams? (ie - Seattle Mariners).

On a side note, you guys have all gotta attend a game at SoFI if you get to the US. An amazing stadium!

Yes, as a stadium it's incredible but did you find the game experience a bit over the top with the constant yelling into the microphone and music?
Yeah potentially it was a bit annoying on reflection. I also laughed/cringed at having to tip a person at the bar a suggested 20% (on top of the $18 can) for cracking open a tin of beer for your consumption - c'mon seriously.

I loved the pre game period where you can watch all the morning games (10am -1pm west coast time) on the various giant screens at SOFI to keep you occupied before game time.

Are you talking take away beer or you sat/stood in the bar and drank it. Because as the former I've never tipped being served beer like that in a stadium in the US even when the drink was poured.

The former.

The tipping is now so in your face in the US.
So you pay for your beer at one of the stadium grog outlets and once you swipe your card they have the suggested tipping options on the POS starting at 15%.

Gone are the days where you tip them a buck for getting you a beer.

It was like that in Canada buying food from a food court or a place that did take away.

Swipe your card and the option came up to tip.

That's everywhere now even in Europe. The machines are all setup that way but no one tips in the scenario. All counter serves places have that pop up when you go to pay.

It's quickly creeping in here as well, especially if you go to a nice restaurant

49'ers or Seahawks or Chargers so they can both get back to the West Coast ASAP after

Would prefer 49'ers and get some 49'ers and Sheeps legends out here like Kurt Warner, Joe Montana etc.

As much as the LA Chargers makes sense, I can’t see the NFL passing up a Rams V Chargers local derby at Sofi stadium.

I doubt the NFL care about that. It would be more that they dont want them playing twice in a few weeks since they schedule them for a preseason game every season since moving to SoFi.
