Thats pretty funny coming from an ugly campaigner that equates to a Holden Camira jacked up in the front yard in Broady with 3 foot of grass growing under it and no wheels.

I coached Sammy in his early senior games and played I think a couple of seasons with him. He was from a bit different part of town to Broady. Was a more than decent local footballer too, confident kid without being cocky, smart operator.

These guys have just brainstormed a few strategies on a white board to get some attention.

Karen Cornes ranking best GF winning teams since 2000

Has 2017 tigers as 3rd last and 2020 tigers 4th last

Reckons our list was just a bunch of battlers aside from Dusty

…and the 2020 GF was a gimme….

And in 2017 we were gifted a home QF re Cats

Karen needs therapy seriously

The f**kwit probably isn't aware that finals with a Victorian team as the home team play at the MCG.

I wonder if the same stupid c**ksuckers would have complained if it was the filth, or the mustard pots or the godeees as the away team.

Only team to have won premierships whereby the afl had to massively change the rules to stop us then poach our coach and support staff for their own nepo team.

And with the worst free kick differential in AFL history.

And yet Kane has our dynasty team behind (the likes of for starters) one off premiers Port Adelaide 2004, West Coast 2018, Melbourne 2021, Geelong 2022, Collingwood 2023, Sydney 2012, West Coast 2006 and Hawthorn 2008. Even Scats of 2007-11 never went back to back and our pressure game would have eaten them alive.

Kane Korns started his top 26 premiership sides of the 2000s countdown this morning.

Has both our 2017 and 2020 premiership teams in the bottom 4 weakest of the 2000s.

So he's looking at the best list AA etc. So fair enough. Grant Thomas called us the worst list to win a flag. (or 3).

#VICBIAS got invented in 2017. We never left the G. Needed a melways to get to Marvel. Despite pies playing the G more than us then and now

Great work.

Lot of guys stepping up this preseason. Is Sonsie actually playing consistent AFL footy, or still just glimpses?
He looked good at training, he is probably top 5 at the club for his kicking he just needs confidence, I'd say if he isn't in the team in the first few weeks he could struggle to get a game barring injury.

Thanks.

I reckon a big part is the club finding him a role that suits. If we can play him in a way that suits I reckon he'll be good.

For such a good kick, he turns it over a lot. He tries dinky shit options and doesn’t just commit to one option. That stuff looks flashy at junior level which is where he seems to have peaked.

Nope, he’s been very solid at VFL level too. He can play for sure, needs confidence and consistency

He is trolling, but nevertheless, it is worth underlining how ludicrous his ranking of Richmond 2017 & 2020 is.

1. the 2017 team smashed the other 3 teams who finished top 4 in the finals series by a minimum of 6 goals. They won the Grand Final by 48 points against a team who had dominated their 2 finals in that series. Richmond conceded 22 goals in 3 matches in that finals series, opposed only by top 4 teams. The best opposition teams in the competition could not come close to coping with Richmond's defence, or Dusty. In 2017 Richmond lost only 1 of its last 13 matches, v Geelong at Geelong.

2. the 2020 team needed to overcome all sorts or tribulations in order to win the flag. Nankervis, Edwards, Houli, Astbury and Prestia all missed around half the season or more. Lynch missed the first final altogether. That final and the Preliminary were played against teams on the opponent's home ground and the Grand Final was played against the Cats on their temporary 2020 home ground. Once Lynch returned and the long term absences had at least a couple of games each, the team performed exceptionally well. The Grand Final win was ultimately dominant, and had the game been played out over the normal duration, all indications were it would have been a 10 goal+ margin.

Premiership teams who won 3 flags and a minor Premiership in a 4 year period are not going to be in the bottom few flag teams within a quarter century period, that is patently ludicrous. But to really show how ridiculous it is....

- The 3 Richmond flag teams conceded the equivalent of 7.8 goals per final they played, and this is after adjusting for the shorter duration 2020 matches. This is the lowest of the AFL era and probably the lowest in history barring eras where grounds had no drainage when there was heavy rain. Remember that is 7.8 goals per game conceded v teams that finished 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 4, 4, 6, 6 on the home and away ladder. All matches were played in good conditions. These were the best teams in the competition, who between them could not manage to average 8 goals per final against these Richmond teams. There is every chance this Richmond defence would have broken any team in the AFL era.

- Richmond's dynasty Grand Final percentage, 222%, is the highest in the history of the competition for any team to play in multiple Grand Finals within a 7 year period. No other team has even come close to that in 128 years of history.

When people rate Premiership teams retrospectively, they tend to rate them according to how those teams were expected to perform in finals, rather than how they actually performed.
