Disgusting but not shocking

I wouldnt be so confident yet.

Trump has a habit of saying what the people in the room want to hear especially if he wants something. Especially on foreign soil in front of a foreign media. Wait till he gets back to the white house.

He also has a habit of making threats and then backing down.

A 200% tariff on fine French wines is going to go down great with his republican bigwig mates....

Would be funny if he demands that the oligarchs start consuming napa valley wine instead.

I’d love to see his calculations on this. Clearly he had finally been told the truth but he still can’t not spruik his bullshit numbers and lie about there being an alternative way to calculate it. He is beyond parody.

He is totally trapped by his malignant narcissism , just cannot admit fault.
He's been told his 500% , 1500% claims are horseshit but he still can't let it go.

"What we witnessed in Switzerland was not a policy address. It was an X-ray.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Donald Trump didn’t merely embarrass the United States in front of its allies; he revealed, with clinical clarity, the pathology that now defines his presidency—and the pathology his supporters actively crave. The bluster, the grievance, the thinly veiled threats, the adolescent swagger masquerading as strength: this is not drift or decline. It is the point.
Here’s the dangerous truth that finally snaps into focus after Davos: the unhinged Trump on that stage is exactly the president his followers want. They don’t tolerate the chaos; they require it. They don’t excuse the cruelty; they cheer it. They don’t misunderstand the geopolitical land-grabs and war-mongering postures; they see them as proof of dominance. The spectacle is the substance.
What makes this moment uniquely perilous isn’t just one man’s depravity. It’s the millions who looked at that performance and thought, Finally—someone who speaks for me. We are not up against a conventional politician or an opposing platform. We are up against a movement animated by:
The racism embedded in “Make America Great Again,” which has always translated to Make America White Again.
The misogyny that waved off “Grab ’em by the pussy” as locker-room talk and called accountability hysteria.
The anti-intellectualism that confuses cruelty with strength and treats knowledge as weakness.
A provincial, grievance-soaked worldview that mistakes bluster for leadership and exclusion for sovereignty.
Trump is not a nightmare by accident. He is the most unprepared, unqualified, and disgraced president in American history by design. A bigot. A hater. A sexist. A xenophobe. A man with the intellectual and emotional maturity of a five-year-old child. He is mentally ill. He is a pathological liar who lies about his lies. He is obsessed with verbally attacking Hillary Clinton, and he reveals his deep racism through his constant, obsessive disparagement of Barack Obama. Donald Trump is a disgrace to humanity.
I have never heard—nor am I hearing—one single coherent, rational, intelligent, informed, educated, moral, fact-based, sane, mature, patriotic, or politically valid reason to support this illiterate, illegitimate, mentally ill, fish-mouthed “president.” What I do hear, loud and ugly, is resentment, self-hatred, impotent rage, and the glee of people who seem perversely proud that they have endangered everyone in this country.
This is no longer left versus right. The real question is whether we normalize this collective sickness—or excise it before it metastasizes further.
Every time someone says, “But the economy… and those illegals…” to justify their support, listen closely. They are telling you exactly which part of Trump’s reflection they see themselves in.
The good news? Mirrors can be shattered. But only if we stop looking away."

The one thing that makes me sad, is that there isn’t outrage at him calling Somalians “low IQ people.”

I mean FFS, this is heinous, demeaning, dangerous language. Im not surprised he said it but I’m sad it isn’t widely condemned as the racist shit that it is.
‘Trump’s speech had the fingerprints of Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff and architect of his draconian immigration policy, all over it. It chimed with an entire discourse of white identity politics festering on the US right.‘
An inkling of a concept, of a framework, of a future deal.

I have done a bit of research on these deals.

Ok it was 5 minutes on chatgpt but its probably more advanced than any research our MAGA friends conduct on here.

So the deals are legit. However this is a massive case of 'smoke and mirrors'

Some customers do walk away with paying nearly 90% less for their drugs. But the deals involve a narrow channel of drugs

Its basically like a sales rack in a luxury store.

All these drugs have poor sales and cater for very niche markets.

Drugs specifically referenced for TrumpRx (direct-to-consumer discounts)

These are drawn from White House announcements, company statements, and reporting on the initial discounted medications:

Pfizer (TrumpRx examples)

These are drugs Pfizer has said will be made available on TrumpRx at steep discounts off list price (direct to patient):

  • Eucrisa – for atopic dermatitis (around 80% discount)
  • Zavzpret (zavegepant) – for migraine attacks (around 50% discount)
  • Xeljanz (tofacitinib) – for rheumatoid arthritis and related autoimmune conditions (40% discount)
  • Duavee – menopause treatment (about 85% discount)
  • Toviaz – for overactive bladder (around 85% discount)
  • Abrilada – autoimmune therapy (discount reported, exact figure not always disclosed)

Other companies and TrumpRx / MFN pricing examples

Under broader deals, companies beyond Pfizer have been noted as offering specific drugs at lowered prices through TrumpRx or similar direct channels:

  • Amgen – Repatha (cholesterol-lowering): discount example from $573 → $239
  • Genentech – Xofluza (flu medication): discount example from $168 → $50
  • Boehringer Ingelheim – Jentadueto (type-2 diabetes): discount example from $525 → $55
  • Merck – Januvia (diabetes): discount example from $330 → $100
  • Novartis – Mayzent (multiple sclerosis): discount example from $9,987 → $1,137
  • Sanofi – Plavix (blood thinner): discount example from $756 → $16; Sanofi insulin products reportedly listed at around $35/month on TrumpRx platforms

Other types of drugs noted in deals

  • GLP-1 drugs (diabetes/weight loss — e.g., Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound) have been mentioned in some reporting as included under direct-to-consumer pricing agreements with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk, though the exact TrumpRx listing and pricing structures depend on FDA approvals and final arrangements.
  • Fertility treatments (Merck agreements report up to ~84% discounts for certain IVF-related medications) in separate arrangements.
  • AstraZeneca chronic disease drugs — inhalers for asthma and COPD, etc. — were cited as part of its discount commitments.

Important context

⚠️ Not all discounted medicines are on a single published list yet.
TrumpRx itself is a portal designed to link consumers to manufacturer direct-to-consumer pricing — it doesn’t “sell” them directly but connects buyers with discounted offerings from pharma companies.

⚠️ Discounts are relative to list price, not necessarily what insured patients currently pay: even with a 50–80% reduction off list price, many drugs can remain expensive for uninsured or cash-pay patients.

⚠️ Deals vary by company and program: Some discounts apply via TrumpRx direct-to-consumer prices; others apply through Medicaid or state programs at most-favored-nation pricing.

Summary example list (not exhaustive but representative)

  • Eucrisa, Duavee, Toviaz, Zavzpret, Xeljanz, Abrilada (Pfizer)
  • Repatha (Amgen)
  • Xofluza (Genentech)
  • Jentadueto (Boehringer)
  • Januvia (Merck)
  • Mayzent (Novartis)
  • Plavix + insulin products (Sanofi)
  • Chronic disease inhalers & other chronic meds (AstraZeneca)
  • GLP-1 diabetes/weight loss meds in related deals (Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk)

If you’d like, I can organize this into a tabular format with estimated list vs discount prices — though keep in mind those figures are often based on list price, not out-of-pocket or insurer net pricing.

Conclusion, its an exercise in PR. What will happen is due to answering to stock holders and keeping their profits, there is a very high probablity that when these hit the market at their new rates, all their other products will increase in price.

I can already see it now. Media runs to Trump and says that this ladies vital asthma medication has increased in price and he calls it fake news. MAGA buy into it and say she was a paid shill. Yet the medication did go up.

So this is all just optics with very little substance that wont result any any real discounted medication for anyone. But Trump will claim it as a great success when all he did was provide a way for big pharma to run a sales rack. lol
