Why does everything get described as exciting these days?
What's wrong with being pleased or happy to extend the partnership?
It seems that every interview you see everyone's excited about something or other.
Seems so fake.
Amazing, insane post

"Collingwood is extremely aroused to continue its partnership with Dirty Bird Corp".

Granniewolf has a fair point, advertisingspeak is gibberish.
Moving forward at the end of the day the bottom line is when all factors' are considered the equation is in all respects supportive of what we are faced with as you so succinctly advance in the words you employed in what you have posted

PS - we lost our shape and got nutted at the clearances

We do live in the age of outrage but you've just raised the bar.
Kudos.

I reckon I live in the best society in the world.

And the best part about it? IMO it’s the right we have to be critical of it. And that it’s a right we exercise.

Spot on.

Helps to punch up not down, I feel like thats good manners, then again with my brothers and mates we punch sideways.

I agree.

Young kids are excited to meet Nick Daicos’ and get his autograph. That’s not the same adjective a corporate should be using to describe how they feel about renewing a sponsorship.

Nobody is expecting them to express what they’re really feeling (“relieved”, “satisfied”, “grateful”). “Delighted” would at least show that they didn’t just cut-paste-edit their stock template.

And no excuses for this in the age of AI. Of course they shouldn’t be using AI to wholesale generate copy - but’s a great tool for analysing copy and generating ideas.

Thanks, Sir Humphrey.

The irony of this is she didn't sound outraged at all. It was an amusing critical observation and you've pulled out your sword.

We can win it. We just need ALOT of luck as our depth is a huge concern now. Our best 23-28 is still good enough
It's the same for every team. No one has known depth in all positions. At the beginning of last year we would have all said that Brisbane were no chance of winning the thing with a tall forward line of Morris, Gallop and a resting Big O.

A few interesting additions to our VFL squad, including Will Phillips who will be de-Norfed.
The Millane name returns.
Lots of de-Northing to do.

Good to add Teakle in the system. Would have to be a msd option if Cameron gets injured.

The last 12 months from Norf:
Taylor (shame he never got on the park, apart from a couple practice games)
Teakle
Ford
Phillips

I find it fascinating. Is it about player development at North? The outcome of these players coming in will be good to watch. Discards from North not GWS, GC, Sydney or Brisbane. I thought those four clubs might leak more talent. Hmmm. Cochrane and Prindable. We seem to add VFL players closer to AFL level this year. I just like the direction. If nothing else the VFL environment appears better for developing for our young AFL talent. Ramble rambled out and over.

Having a stronger VFL squad is a good thing.
Fronting up for North every week and losing would have affected the players, so having Phillips and Ford in a winning environment has to help them.
They are both from the 2020 draft that was compromised by Covid, so development has to be an issue.
We looked at Teakle and passed, but he might turn out to be a good pickup.
