Why does StKilda have to offer condolences to the victim. They should not have to offer public support for Jack or Steven otherwise.
Or you must sit in the cuck chair until you openly state your cousin actually committed the crime and you dislike him for it. Or else you get sackedIn some Bizarre world, if my cousin committed a crime, the company i work for would need to seek out the victim and offer condolences, while penalizing me.
Ross Lyon needs to show leadership and ask Stephen Silvagni to step aside until 1. Tom Silvagni wins the appeal or 2. SOS admits what his son has done to this girl.
At this stage , Stkilda is hanging this victim out to dry imo.

Grounds for appeal released ...
“The learned trial judge erred in determining that the statements made by (Silvagni) to the complainant during the pre-text call … (a) were capable of constituting evidence of incriminating conduct, (b) were reasonably capable of being viewed by the jury as evidence of incriminating conduct and (c) could be relied upon by the prosecution as evidence of incriminating conduct,” the first ground reads.
“The learned trial judge erred in his directions to the jury concerning (a) the permissible use to which the evidence relied upon as incriminating conduct might be put by the jury and (b) the limited circumstances in which the evidence relied upon as incriminating conduct might be used by the jury,” the second ground reads.
"grok translate this into plain english"
Here are the two appeal grounds translated into plain, everyday English:
The first ground of appeal says:The trial judge got it wrong when he ruled that the things Silvagni said to the complainant during the recorded pretext phone call could be treated as evidence of guilty behaviour. Specifically, he was wrong to decide that those statements (a) counted as evidence of guilt, (b) could reasonably be seen by the jury as evidence of guilt, and (c) could be used by the prosecution as evidence of guilt.
The second ground of appeal says:The trial judge gave the jury incorrect instructions about how they were allowed to use any evidence claimed to show guilty behaviour – in particular, (a) what they could properly use it for, and (b) the narrow situations in which they could use it at all.
Yep. And they need to sack JSOS as well. And Jo needs to lose her job at chemist warehouse. And apparently the guy who delivered milk to the Silvagnis household, he doesn’t talk to them but smiled at the family once when they were coming out the front door. His position is untenable as wellRoss Lyon needs to show leadership and ask Stephen Silvagni to step aside until 1. Tom Silvagni wins the appeal or 2. SOS admits what his son has done to this girl.

I thought SOS touched the ball that Michael Long kicked in the '93 GF. Where does that leave me?Yep. And they need to sack JSOS as well. And Jo needs to lose her job at chemist warehouse. Wrong.I thought SOS touched the ball that Michael Long kicked in the '93 GF. Where does that leave me?

Definitely would have won Sam pang's "point of the year" segment, if it happened during the age of the score review system. Was a good gallop though from Longy.Wrong.![]()
Was the best 3 consecutive games in history from Long imoDefinitely would have won Sam pang's "point of the year" segment, if it happened during the age of the score review system. Was a good gallop though from Longy.
I hope he did touch it, makes it better.I thought SOS touched the ball that Michael Long kicked in the '93 GF. Where does that leave me?

Along with anyone who buys anything from Chemist Warehouse, or supports East Keilor in the EDFLEveryone who supports Carlton should face the firing squad because they liked his grandpa.
Think some chemist warehouse products could be handy yourself.Along with anyone who buys anything from Chemist Warehouse, or supports East Keilor in the EDFL
As someone presently battling grade 4B head and neck cancer, prostate cancer, liver cancer and coincidentally off into Pete Mac (again!) today for my final zap of radiation on T12 spinal tumour, I think I have accrued enough meds over the last 12 months to compete with Chemist Warehouse? But thanks anyhow!Think some chemist warehouse products could be handy yourself.
Geez mate, hope things improve for you soon. That’s a shocking run you’ve had. You have my thoughts and best wishes. Tom was on East Keilors list at one stage from memory?Good luck. Not sure what east kelior did.
Couldn’t agree moreThanks… kindly appreciated!
I didn’t post for sympathy by the way… I posted to put a little bit of perspective on life!
(And this isn’t directed at the poster I replied to, I appreciate that it was a light-hearted jab)
It’s directed at the myriad of posters on this forum that are all too quick to lay the boots into someone that they disagree with, and with such vitriol and hatred!
None of you know that person’s current circumstances or what they might be going through! A little of “THINK before posting”?
Probably impossible in this age of “anonymous keyboard warriors” which is damn sad!
Anyhow, off me soapbox, and I think I’ll stick to the Doggies and EDFL areas of this forum, which was my original reason for joining…
Was the JSOS contract overly generous? Weve handed the keys to Ross and JSOS fills a pretty clear need. From all accounts it was a very widely discussed and critiqued decision so whether its right or wrong its not at all like the Hanners decision (which was just boys club bullshit).St Kilda gave a cooked Dan Hannerbury a five year deal because Simon Lethlean was best mates with his dad. Nobody at the club was able to say "No" to Lethlean.
Seems very strange to me the Saints haven't learnt their lesson and nobody said "No" to SOS offering his kid an overly generous contract.
Ive read this too, theres absolutely no way its true, it would be idiotic to not get input from SOS on his son, motivations, strengths weaknesses etc, I am sure we pulled him from the contract terms discussion (that would be too big a conflict) but he defs had something to do with it.Secondly, SOS had nothing at all to do with bringing his son to the club, he was excluded from everything involved with it.
I have no idea how anyone could type this out and then lie down in bed and sleep well lol. This reads like the manifesto for a school shooterGee it must be almost incomprehensible to the Silvagnis, for so long have been elite upper crust, the beautiful people waltzing from one very well compensated opportunity to the next, the plebs fawning and whispering as they pass.
These days the whispers and furtive glances feel different. Old friends crossing the street, the socials are quiet. Inbox is empty. Even the lowly barista has a glint of contempt in their eye. Persona non grata in the cesspool of Melbourne socialites.
Reality must feel very unfair, the last desperate resort to save the sinking HMS Silvagni is to listen to the crooning of the lawyers as they drain the accounts with promises of justice and redemption. Not a thought for the victim involved...its all about saving Brand Silvagni.
Not read too many manifestos have you mateI have no idea how anyone could type this out and then lie down in bed and sleep well lol. This reads like the manifesto for a school shooter
