Well Trump spent of all 2024 going on about releasing the Epstein files to placate his MAGA base because they thought it would implicate the Democrats and no-one else.

Trump is a say anything politician. He said he would release the Epstein files but its clear as day he never had any intention of releasing them.

It's moot in any case, ICE agents as the officers on the scene have all the authority and manpower they need to detain, arrest and charge people who do this. They don’t need local officers for this. They chose not to arrest him.

As a matter of course ICE aren’t notifying local police of their plans for these raids in Democrat cities (which is probably a good thing for those local officers when the charges for ICE’s criminal acts do come), so complaining after the fact they weren’t dropping everything to escort them everywhere or be instantaneously on the scene to arrest people for ICE when things like this happen - well you know full well how daft that sounds.

i would be surprised. its a stretch to combine both events. The only way it could be used is if the defense tried to paint Pretti as a domestic terrorist and used the footage in which case it can be easily flipped around. I actually dont think a judge will even allow it in the case because there really is no need to put on trial his character because it really played no part in his execution. I think the focus will be trying to find out exactly why the ICE agents took it upon themselves to escalate a situation they really had no business doing.

The DOJ/FBI didnt finalise all investigations into Epstein until January 2025. So even if Biden wanted to, he literally couldnt.
