We should ask the AFL for more Rookie spots like what the Weagles got
they loaded up with recycled rubbish we could fill ours with players like this kid and sure up the future of our rebuild with young developing players

I think we'd have a fair argument to ask for compensation picks to make up for the lost points value from being pushed down the draft by FS & Academy players.

I’d say it’s more he has no outstanding attribute. He is basically Bs and Cs across the board, quick but not lightening, fit but not run all day, solid kick but not damaging etc.

I still think he deserves a go, but a year playing sanfl won’t hurt him.

Yep. In a mutshell, club have stated that with their targeted list profile that they want, they will draft players that they feel would have standout traits at AFL level. Kellaway didn't have anything that would set him apart at AFL level.

Personally thought he had close to the cleanest hands at ground level in his draft pool and was better with better players around him.

Can just see him at 23 being a really good foot soldier in a good side (probably Geelong), maybe like Kmac/Jack Graham at worst or a lambert at Louie’s peak.

Kellaway definitely was a player who made those around him better. He also improved over the year. Hopefully he gets a shot. I reckon he can be a decent AFL player - but then unlike LOTW I am not a drafting genius with incredible wealth.

I can't remember the exact points lost but based on last yrs draft, it was pick 11 or 12 equivalent in points we lost and was pick 6 if you include wce having there compo pick for Allen.

like we saw with kellaway, theyre not gonna pick with their hearts, the kids have to have genuine, stand out afl qualities. reckon its unlikely we take daddy or leys tbh.
