Finished 24: season 7 tonight

Was a bit delayed thanks to the AO finals AND the debut of MAFS :P

Season 8 now finished, the brunt of episodes completed from Thursday night (after 2 eps on Tuesday and another 2 on Wednesday night), then late Friday night through to 4:50pm today :D. 12 more episodes, to do in 7 days... I think I'll manage it... just :P

205 episodes in approx "46" days although thats to be determined, not the fastest I've ever binged the series, but still faster than a season a week!!

Excellent choice Mr Extreme. We look forward to having you on board in futures binges.

:P Not sure what I'll binge through next, maybe Curb Your Enthusiasm or for "drama" I might do the Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul double again as it feels like it's been 2 years since I last watched (and that was for the first time too).

Haven't gone through a few movies for a while so I might try and alter my viewing habits for a bit.

But I have social things from mid Feb through to mid March so I won't be a couch potato again for a while.

Breaking Bad. Excellent choice.

Some workmates recommended Brooklyn 99, which I'm watching now and am thankful for the recommendation.

On Ozark I was disappointed with one aspect that
was when his Wife became the key player. Yeh sure it might have happened but it flipped the early seasons and for that it wasn’t as good.

Hijack (Apple TV) into Ep 4 and I dont think I can continue. It's just stretching out too far and the main boss jacker has the same jumper I have from Uni Clo and it seriously distracts me, plus he's not very good in his role. And the Jumper looks shit on TV.

Ponies (2026) - Spy thriller with a bit of fun thrown in with a "Kick Ass" 1970's sound track that really lifts this to another level. FOXTEL and BINGE. 8 Episodes.

Stars: Emilia CLARKE (Daenerys from Game of Thrones) and Haley Lu RICHARDSON (who is a dead ringer in voice and mannerisms to Nathasha LYONNE from Poker Face - and she annoyed me in that like HL R is in this with her voice and ways)

Also stars a very good actor called Adrian Lester.

EC and HL R play novice spies in Moscow in the mid 1970's investigating the death of their husbands and other things.

Emilia Clarke is just brilliant. The camera just loves her and makes this show interesting to watch as she gets into situations and how she manages to get out of them without (so far), losing her life.

I hope they make a 2nd series.
Just started this ...3 eps in so far. Really looks promising...keep with it?

Binged all six eps of Unfamiliar. New German spy series on Netflix. A mission from 16 years ago that comes and bites them in the present. Writing never dumbs down like a soap drama like Jackal. This one is sharp and intense

9.5/10 _ Don’t miss it

I tapped out around the same time too.

Two thirds of the way through the Pitt, and while it's a very good show, I simply do not get the hype that was in here and at the Emmys. The medical stories are often compelling but its really plays out like a tortured soapie at times. I get that they are trying to show what a hectic day in the ER looks like, but giving every character a tragic personal story that all come together at the same time was a poor narrative decision. Sometimes the episode recaps make you realise just how much they overloaded the show that even the medical emergencies seem like they are stretching credulity. Also, it's pretty obvious how much they are trying to make you cry, some story beats are well played out and naturally make you feel something but other times they are just poking at you to elicit a reaction.

Andor was better, should have got the Emmy.

I'm not watching it just for the hype it gets around here.

204* episodes AND the tv movie officially concluded at the 42 day mark. 9 seasons in 7 weeks! Translates to just under 5 episodes a day (3 hours 20 minutes approx), although in the 7 week stretch I had many nights where I only got through 1-2 eps.... or I fell asleep during an episode, then I had to re-watch the full episode or continue on from what I last remembered the next night. But I made up for it with my 5-8 (and in recent weeks) 12 episodes in a day viewings.

24 essentially became my all time favourite show in no time at all in the 2000's.... but the more I've watched it over the years, the more the odd scripting becomes more prevalent. The writers re-use the same first name or surname for various characters over the seasons, god even some of them carry over the same wardrobe or hairstyle. A lot of the dialog is one dimensional (many characters have the same phases and phrasing of sentences/patterns of speaking).

Not to mention various plot points do get recycled (and not just xyz character pretends to be good, but is really a "mole"). A key moment from season 3, gets recycled in season 6.... with similar (although "slightly" different) dialog framing the circumstances.

That part doesn't worry me as a lot of shows worth watching get ridiculous hype (it's just best to try not to get too caught up in it).

I will probably end up getting to it but hospital dramas - even innovative or best in class ones - don't overly interest me.

I rewatched this recently. Great show but so disappointing that it never got picked up for at least a 3rd season. The Atlanta case was a good one but I wanted to see them work at least one or two others.
Great show. They were going to do a 3rd but they said it would cost too much and not enough of an audience for the amount it would be.
