Fantasy 2025 - EMPIRE League - Discussion

I put in a support ticket with MFL to have a built in option to claim other teams' taxi players. Obviously they'll eventually reply "at this point in time this is not something we envision having" and meanwhile..."due to few lame new features we've added for 2026, your league fees are expected to rise by x dollars"

You're preaching to the choir. I thought the system we had was fine but Dagless wants to change it. I don't think it will be as bad or confusing as you reckon just seems that way now..
Tho im the culprit, i do agree with dagless that taxi needs to be a practice squad and not a roster extender or way to hoard or maneuver vets in via waivers. And its got nothing to do with me needing help curtail my rookie fever. I just agree

This player was a full time starter for IR from week 3 onwards yet flip flopped onto and off the TS 6 times after initially being promoted after a big two first weeks.

Not sure what the intention is of a TS, but if this is it we may as well just have longer rosters.

Is my actual argument :)

Yeah, and my injury list crucified me, ive explained this to you already. You barely had an injury this year, you wouldnt understand.

I don't mind having a trade deadline by week 10 or so. I think we should open up for trades a lot sooner than we do, though how that is managed with respect to calculating player salaries and free agency is for wiser heads than mine.

We open trades as soon as people have submitted their re-signed vets, rookies and franchise tag. Thats ideal that those things should be settled first before trading opens

You can rest easy knowing its purely jealousy of owning him every time he hopped on and off that I noticed

Anyone want James Pearce for cheap?

Really came on strong late in his rookie year?

Give me a 5th and I’ll take him off your hands

MyFantasyLeague (MFL) typically follows a "piece-meal" release schedule, where new features are deployed as they become available rather than in a single pre-announced package. For the 2026/27 NFL season, the following updates and tools have been introduced or highlighted:

MFL Modern Edge (New Mobile Experience)
A significant focus for the 2026 season is the rollout of the MFL Modern Edge application, which provides several new analytical and social tools:
  • Roster Breakdown: A tool to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of your team compared to others in your league.
  • Context-Aware Rookie Draft Grades: Analysis of your draft performance that factors in team needs, ADP (Average Draft Position), and positional value.
  • Trade Browser: Allows users to view actual trades happening across other MFL leagues to gauge player value.
  • Team Recommendations: Provides suggestions for high-value free agents, sleepers, and potential trade partners based on your specific roster gaps.
  • Integrated Live League Chat: A new messaging interface that includes private rooms, similar to the functionality found on platforms like Sleeper.

Enhanced League Management & Scoring
  • Premium Projections: MFL now offers a premium subscription service that integrates expert rankings and projections from multiple top-tier fantasy football sources directly into your league reports.
  • True Position IDP Support: Continued and refined support for "True Position" rankings for Individual Defensive Players (IDP), developed in partnership with industry experts to provide more accurate player valuations.
  • Automated Future-Year Trading: For leagues hosted on certain platforms like DataForce, new pop-up prompts and auto-renewal agreements have been integrated to facilitate the trading of future-year draft picks.

Core Platform Continuity
While new features are added, MFL continues to maintain its high level of customisation for 2026, including:
  • Scalable League Sizes: Support for up to 100 teams, 90 roster spots, and 24 divisions.
  • Deep Dynasty Tools: Multi-year contracts, taxi squads, and automated league history tracking.
  • Customisable Waivers: Options for blind bidding, first-come-first-served, or reverse order of standings remain standard.
