Is Kayo an Aussie broadcaster? Never heard of it.

I think this is 'match sim' or a scratch match it's not an official pre season game.

Was expecting it just on the saints website tbh. Like the old intra club days.

I'm in Sicily/Malta for a fair chunk of the first half of the season so I'm looking for suggestions for the best way to see games.

I had a watch footy subscription, these past two years, its fine.

You can get the overseas digital pass on the Saints website. That way you get membership and access to all games for $250 AU for twelve months. Not bad at all.

Hawthorn and Geelong was on fox footy on Monday. I’d imagine Brisbane Carlton will be today and our game will be on tomorrow.

Ugh sounds horrible lol.

Kayo ain't perfect and they keep putting the price up but to be able to watch and replay pretty much every game it's not a bad deal. Owned by DAZN now after Fox sold it I think.

Just as;

Newscorp + Telstra owned Foxtel, hence the you know no adverts into adverts into dropping of things and giving a shit about ratings that creeped in. KAYO then shifted from sourcing things to piggy backing and linking directly to the Fox feed for things, hence again the Prime has cricket contract, Sky has F1 and Indy and such so Foxtel is lucky it has that via espn and etc. As Foxtel in general was losing share and thus rebranding things to say diff/same in 2018.

So DAZN is just now British instead of a Murdoch, so might have less bullshit eventually.

Was also a buy out, not a sale as Fox under Murdoch kinda bled money, hence Telstra reducing and Murdoch buying more later, hence then also the almost 600mil debt under that group before DAZN popped in.

PMG was rebranded as the Fox Sports instance specifically was the Telstra branch I believe, as they originally had 50% and newscorp are the ones that bumped up later share wise before Packer popped in for a 25% share.

So the tldr being there was a Murdoch or a Packer somewhere in the sport and fiscal sides of Foxtel in general regardless of whatever subsidiary was involved. The 578mil debt was a buy out before collapsing basically as Murdoch DGAF, just looked bad on the books to bleed money in tiny market of AUS.

Not scared, but they have quite a few absolute weapons there. We'll have our work cut out, that's for sure.

I will say that ours is the more even squad, less proven guns but our lesser players offer more than theirs. We'll probably be playing the more blue-collar style, hopefully we can turn up the excitement levels too!
