Clearly wasnt worth the gamble.
Its a pun relating to Jaiden's gambling issue. What was the gamble? What have they lost?
Whoopdedoo.
The evidence to date is that our rebuild is far from producing a premiership team. We can be less smug about it.
Ah we're at the stage of the night where you haven't got much left in the kit bag and start taking weird potshotsDon’t forget that Cromulant jisr watched is torch Port by 2 scoring shots over 3 quarters. Even though he predicts Port to be bottom few, that’s an enormous result and. Certain sign that we’re a genuine contender.

I think North don't take regular games seriously and do exactly what you've said which is give up 10 minutes into a thumpingMy view is that individual players that are fighting for a spot will take it very seriously. But regardless of whether you play for Brisbane or West Coast, if you’re safe in the 23, you most likely don’t put in too hard.
It’s why I don’t judge players playing well or poorly in 100 point thumpings. Not all players can hit maximum intensity when the game is over 10 minutes in. And at the other end, a spud lighting it up in a rout is equally as meaningless.

The fact they have a culture that allows them to do that across regular games and trials is a big problem.
It's a bit like George Costanza (the real, fictional one) and his belief in God.I don’t think any meaningful conclusions can be drawn from a scratch match. I understand many think differently, but I disagree.

I thought you didn't believe in God?
I do for the bad things.
Poor trial game form I find worrying. Good trial game form I find meaningless.
Really? He'd be about the 15th best player on their list. Seems weird to start being choosy now. He's garbage. I would have loved them to sign him

Yep they can throw that shinboner spirit shit out the window.I think North don't take regular games seriously and do exactly what you've said which is give up 10 minutes into a thumping

Might offer him a SANFL role in view of the MSD.
Either that or someone pinches him, probably West Coast
No current season stats available
Also the player has had chronic back issues.... This contract has disaster written all over it, he isn't an A grade superstar he's just a very good solid player.Complete madness. I can not believe anyone would sign off on that. Well done to the player and player manager though.
Putting aside how he is rated as a player his injury history should be enough to rule this kind of contract out
West AdelaideI said this would be the case from day 1 .....at least the Gold Coast held some interest for players .....this could end up a permanent basketcase of a club

West AdelaideYes, Gold Coast had to pay a premium to keep players .....other AFL Clubs will force Tassie to overpay .....that said, the emotional draw of players to the mainland will be huge ...irrespective of the money, which AFL Clubs will match for the starsIt's a real issue. As a sporting code we need to get to a level where the $$$ is worth more than the home city (like almost every other professional sport on earth).
