I was gonna reply with a horrible pun but I feel like I’d get punched.

Although definitely agree, thanks to everyone for their varied opinions and information/insights. It’s largely appreciated by everyone here.
I was too, but thought I'd get punished.

My young bloke climbed a crane in the CBD and had a 6 pack at the top with a mate. Young and full adventure. I was just glad he made it home ok.
No offence, but what a d**ckhead

Sounds about as safe as Russian roulette. Didn’t sound like there was really a strong element of danger in Moore and Cmac’s hijinks. Just dumb and unnecessary.

You could say that about a lot of things base jumping etc.
Not sure jumping off a building with a parachute whilst sober is quite at the same level of dickheadedness as climbing a tall structure with no safety whilst drunk.

If I look at all of the stupid things that I did as a young man you lot would call me an absolute moron. Examples included me and a few friends building our own canon using a large metal recycled cylinder, priming with gun powder using large dog cans filled with concrete and shooting them at old cars that one of us was driving. Said cars were then used as bumper cars in paddocks (ie smash up derbies), on the side of roads embankments we used to find the steepest ones and ride up at a 45 degree angle simply to see how far we could get before we would fall off. Biggest risk was when the bike rolled down behind us.

In many of those instances we were not completely sober, although not fully inebriated but I often wonder how all of us survived but it was a disadvantage of growing up in the country, we did stupid things. Although the best was when we were all sober and about 10 of us picked up my sisters 70's Toyota Corolla and put it in between 2 trees at out local dam, was a snug fit and there was no way she could get it out.

Lets not call young men dickheads because we all would have done something stupid when we were younger - well those born before 1985. Since then they have never been outside as it is too dangerous

Geez lighten up peeps. Three beers is not drunk. He was not alone and has been a rock climber since 5 years of age. Judgy or what. It was just some context re Moore's storm in a tea cup.

See, now, I think you both need to stop getting so uppity over it. Yes, we've all done stupid shit (myself included) and I think it's perfectly reasonable to call someone who's being a dickhead, a dickhead. That includes reflecting on past actions and calling yourself a dickhead when it warrants it.

GC, you said yourself, you were just glad he made it home ok, so you clearly know it was a dickhead thing to do. Which is fine, we learn from these moments, just don't pretend it's nothing.

Yes, we've all done stupid shit (myself included) and I think it's personally reasonable to call someone who's being a dickhead, a dickhead. I recall hodgy caught drink driving. Came out against Adelaide in a QF the week after gave the hulkamania celebration to a goal. I remember thinking him celebrating is like saying "so what I'll get pissed before finals and still captain a 3peat." Legend.

Now moore is sitting around meekly apologizing, hoping is for a scissor lift celebration this Friday.

Happily put my hand up and say I was a dickhead at times when I was younger, and happily say I continue to be a dickhead at times now, may I stay forever young!

Now you understand why the media runs with it. Cue the outrage.......

I too, must say that I am lucky to still be alive.
