But cost the Raiders trade value. Imagine accepting an offer on your house on the eve of the auction only to have the buyer back out a couple of days later.
That would happen more than you think "subject to finance" is a get out clause.

My sister just bought a new house that had subject to finance which was based on her old house selling and closing in time. She got screwed around by the people buying her old one for a bit. Was pre-approved for the amount but was depending on the sale of the old one or something.

ended up having both close around the same time and had like 2 days to move from the old to new one just as the kids went back to school.

Unfortunately a mate suffered from this for real. His auction was scheduled same day as one of his neighbour's.

He accepted an offer, all demand then went to his neighbour's house on auction day.

3 days later, his neighbour gets overs at auction and his house is back on the market.

Im not sure, but wonder if teams can file a grievance against another for backing out of a trade like this. you can for "tampering" because the Vikings did that with Atlanta a couple of years ago for the Kirk Cousins deal.

2 things will be telling/interesting

Hendricksen signs on for the Ravens in the coming day/s.

Crosby (for whichever team) starts the season and shows no injury issues.
The Hendricksen thing will be interesting. Rumors are he priced himself out of most places asking for over $30m a year. which would be about the same as the the Crosby deal the Ravens are walking away from.

The thread has taken a turn with real estate horror stories....

On another tangent it reminds me a bit of Ruud Van Nistelrooy when he was due to sign for Manchester United in 2000 and failed the medical twice due to his recovery from his knee injury after agreeing the transfer.vtje move was cancelled and PSV invited the media to a training session a few days later to show how he was fine. While attempting a header he lands awkwardly and ruptures his ACL.

Let's hope the Raiders don't put on a "pro day" to show how fit Maxx is

Baltimore. :nflravens:

I see the ghost of Art Modell's spirit raises its sleazy head again.

A team born out of deceit and deception, devoid of any integrity with double crossing its speciality, alas the trend continues.

So maybe the Ravens tried to renegotiate the deal but the Raiders just pulled the pin completely once they knew they weren't getting two firsts. Which of course is their right.

In any case Crosby's agent and the Raiders may have painted a Rosy picture that was not the reality and when Baltimore were able to do their own scans and exam by an independent doctor.... They found they were being sold a lemon or a player who was definitely not worth two firsts.

Oh the ravens tomfoolery knows no bounds. Wouldn't be surprised if it was about negotiating a new contract or if the ravens didn't like what they saw in him as a person.

He just had knee surgery to too long ago, he definitely won't be completely healthy.

Nah, was just a shit move on the Ravens part :)

Thought they were a better organisation than that, not sure why though.

As it turns out, they have a bit of a history of this kind of stuff.

About the funniest thing that could happen now is the Bengals trade for Crosby and let him loose on Lamar twice this season.
