Loving everything about the club that ive seen this preseason:

SKing and PGuerra not accepting any bullshit.
The players seem to be having a blast.
We are playing some genuinely exciting football.

While the talent on paper might not be as strong as previous years I think the players enjoying themselves will take us a fair way and surprise some people, feels like a weight has been lifted on the entire club with the killjoy's and sad sacks gone. Can see us finishing 8th - 10th.

Thanks again for those involved in getting my account back. 😘

Tholstrup even looking alright, its amazing how much a difference it makes when a coach opens up the play hey.

Josh Schache should sue Goodwin for crimes against footballers, he'd have won a Coleman with SKing.

I feel we will be rolled big time but the pressure is v much on St Kilda for this one
Steele first player since Peter Moore in 1982 to debut for his new club v a club he captained in his/their most recent game. Has humiliation for either side written all over it, esp on the back of the Saints comeback win last year

First captain, you mean? Players debut for their new club vs their old club all the time (i.e. Curnow last week)

yeah was meant to say 'v a club he captained in his/their most recent game', good pick up. Will edit thanks

I wonder how many players have debuted for a club against the side they captained to a record fourth quarter comeback victory in their last match v the new club

Feeling weirdly nostalgic for R1, 2014. Fittingly Trac and Steele's draft year. Similar vibes of neither side going into this one with a huge amount of realisti chope for the season, just wanting to see some kind of improvement but also perceiving the potential of a R1 loss to the other as disastrous based on how shit each team is meant to be.

We never got another chance at St Kilda as well. Just looking back at the season saints started the season quite well were 3-2 by round 5 and percentage out of the 8. After that it was a dreadful season. Only 1 win for the rest of the season and a wopping 145 point loss to hawthorn.

I’m pretty delusional but I reckon that actually looks like a half decent side we’re putting out.

Excited about this season, less pressure and just hoping for some improvement. Let’s spoil some parties for better sides and hopefully sneak into 10th.

This is an excellent little fact, Gys
