Patiently waiting until the end of the round, and teams next week.

Where's the Round 3 trades fred?
Looking closely at Cook, Murdock, and Milera's games.
Pou, Sellwood, Rosas, and even Cogs on the chopping block, depending on performances.

Feeling kinda cute so might even play around and boost a mid-pricer to a premo? I dunno.

Round 3 BOOST $150k bank (early thoughts)
Cogs > Murdock (+$250k, and probably more points to boot)
Rosas > Cook (sideways rookie shuffle, opens another DPP, and probably more points to boot)
Sellwood > Milera (Huge points boost. Grlj goes down to D5, Jerong to bench)
Upgrading 2 rookies, and upgrading Cogs to Milera.

surely there are other fields that are worse - Setterfield can't even get on the field for starters.

Had a decent start to the season, and fairly happy with my side's structure; backing in Jacko and English who I am confident will be able to push for R1/R2; fading players coming into the season with terrible durability and carrying niggles (Young); and willing to fork out bulk cash for Le Bont etc.

Only real rookies I have missed are Murdock and Cook, so will be using this round as the last free look (plus in case they get injured, suspended or randomly get dropped the following week) and wait to grab them next round.

Annoyingly, with Fonti already on the bubble I won't be able to get a second look at Blakiston like I wanted, and have to make the early call on punting him. I still think he'll come good, as it was a rough ask of Brad Scott for him to be rucking an entire game solo for the first time at senior level against TWO big bodied opponents in Meek and Reeves. With greater fitness and conditioning, he'll be a half decent option IMO, but I am jumping on the "Mob Boss" Fonti, with the two big scores in his cycle that'll kickstart cash gen - whereas Blakiston will need to score twice that in order to catch up to him for instance. Just trying to upgrade and generate cash ASAP in the interests of getting a jump on things and grabbing fallen premos as early as I can (NWM etc.)

So, farewell Blakiston and welcome the "Mob Boss".
