Yeah. Blake Justice looks pretty good from what I've seen.

I can see North going after Mitch Lewis or Amartey as they are both free agents and wont cost you anything and likely will come for opportunities.

A trade for Caddy would cost 2 early first rounders and a quality player.
And he is basically Essendons only hope at this stage.

EFC trading out Caddy and Merrett would be akin to shutting up shop.

And Caddy wouldn't entetain the offer.

Even though he didn’t get a lot his intent around the field seemed a lot better. I would give him a block of games if he kept that up.

I will say a really important thing for him was he looked very happy to be out there. Was always one of the first to get to the goal scorer and the way he celebrated his goal. He has a genuine feel like his in a better place.

you obviously have not watched many games north have played,until the game against port,bombing it in to no one had been the standard for over 10 years,and do not put the Duck in the same sentence as Lloyd,Carey would single handedly carry any one of the modern 18 teams on his shoulders.

Before my time only been a Dons supporter since they have been poo poo

I do watch a little bit of North if i had to say i had a second team it would likely be them i enjoy watching your youth play and seeing them improve and develop i didnt watch the Port game however

well in that case,i will give you the nearest comparison and still not close but you will get an idea,Jeremy Cameron,in his prime Cameron would make a huge difference to any team.

all good man but i was making you of aware of how good Carey actually was,it would still be hard to imagine if he played today how much he would stand out from the rest,he played in an era of absolute guns,i could count on one hand who is a genuine gun in todays game.

It was just a bit of a shame Carey couldn't play you every week!

Watch some highlights and then check out his stats, namely 92-96, that was when Carey was his most dynamic and would 100% turn you into a formidable side. Lloydy (my fav Don ever behind Bewick) would lift you guys from oblivion to decent too, was a seriously good player. For the record, Footy was never better than North v Essendon (1998-2000) - even the '93 game was ridiculous. You had a decent run against us 1994-1995 (from memory) but that was due to luck with fixturing more than anything, we played you without a few players consistently - Carey being merely one substantial out.

Wish i could of seen it live tbh i understand the whole North and Dons banter and beef between each over from the clubs respectable past but we have both just been so poo the last decade

I really hope that this isnt a false dawn for North and the ship has turned i just hope we can do the same so i can experience and get a taste of how good these clubs used to be when they played each other

Long travel, weather, underestimated North, thought would win easy, barely got out of second gear, then had to go all in last quarter as North were right there.

Fagan wasn't impressed.

Our 2027 R1 is for Jedi Walter/Lachy Ash I hope. Our 2026 R1 is for Marlon or Mad Hattem (if we can't get Walter), nobody else really has made me really want them!
